I used to love Whistle Punk. But my most recent visit will be my last. The person who I can only believe as the owner, blatantly disregarded my order and took a short cut to make my coffee. We stopped in on Saturday, ordered two iced Miels and played a game of cribbage. I loved my coffee, it went down a little too easy so I went back up for another. Instead of making espresso for the second, the owner took my order and gave me cold brew from the tap. Very blatantly. He couldn’t care less. Completely different coffee product. Completely different price. But still charged me for the espresso. If I thought it was unintentional, I would have mentioned it. But the way he acted when the other barista questioned him let me know it was completely intentional. I mean, I went BACK for ANOTHER coffee, just unbelievable. I found this coffee shop on Google maps and thought it looked cool. The name was intriguing and I saw that it got great reviews.
I ordered a large coffee to go, and I appreciated that the carafes were self-serve. I also picked up a bag of beans from Duluth Coffee Company to make in my cabin, which they were selling at a very reasonable price.
