Dads Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Sullivan

Waited in line for about 20 minutes. When I finally was able to order and tried to pay with a credit card I was told the credit card machine was down. There was a sign put up outside that they accepted credit card for the 3% charge, which is absolutely understandable but when you see the line is that long you think you would make an announcement that you can’t accept credit cards at that time. Put up over there existing credit card sign, and the system is down that could’ve been saved everybody time. Overall, just very frustrating. Hadn't been to an ice cream shop in a long time. Ordered a strawberry sundae. It cost somewhere in $5.50 range. Give or take. I was shocked by how much the size had shrunk but price didn't. At least half the size I remember. Cup was tiny, way less everything, ice cream ,strawberry sauce it was all very tiny. I was told ice cream stands aren't what they used to be. And I guess they aren't. Its not Dads inpaticular its everywhere. More money and less for that money. No need to return to Dads. Love this place. Great prices, staff, and selection of ice cream. My favorite was always the "orange creamsicle", it tasted just like one. Dont know how they made it, but amazing taste. Bring all your dogs so they can have thier very own doggy dish, you don't have to share yours. (I used to bring my 3 dogs here and they loved thier doggy dishes).
