We passed this store when driving down the highway and decided to try it since GF bakeries are fairly uncommon. It was nice to see that everything gluten free was kept separate so you knew what was safe to buy. I tried several different things and did not react to any of them. I was very glad to know they are celiac safe. My favorite item was the chocolate chip muffin. It was like a chocolate chip cookie! It has generous portions with tons of chocolate chips. Any chocolate lover would like it and it took me several sittings to finish it. The Apple one was also delicious and flavorful- the only downside was that it was very crumbly and messy to eat. The only bread I tried was the cinnamon raisin. It was very good. I don’t eat much bread anymore since going gluten free so it was a nice treat. I’m sure the rolls would be great for the holidays and special occasions. They also have some beautiful pies which would also be great to bring to a dinner event. In the future it would be great if they added GF dog treats and cinnamon rolls as options. A few of the baked goods were just okay. I wouldn’t have the scones again as the one I tried didn’t have much flavor and tasted like plain dough. I also thought the caramels had a lot more almond flavor than I expected which wasn’t my preference. Despite not loving every single item I tried, I think anyone GF could find something they like here to enjoy.

One of the bigg disspointmenrs followed but utter disgust. Was excited to get the last peach crumble pie (Gluten free) before the season for peaches is over. The filling has barely any peach in, close to nothing. Is a guey raw concoction. Crust pie is flavourless, colorles and dried as in a couple of months old kept in the freezer. The crumb on top is crumbled sugar, not way for anyone to eat this. I often get them hence the excitement to get one befo wint comes. What's probably happening is this bakery not longer pays attention to detail and is mass producing. Sad. A few friends have ma comments for quite some time I wanted to give them another chance. Do better Meredith...people can actually get sick eating this. DISGUSTING AND DANGEROUS TO PUBLIC HEALTH. PS:Your answer says it all. At no point did I say I tried to contact you, why would I? The pie and the pictures speak for itself. And yes the complained has been made. Instead of going off lying on a customer focus on doing better, don't take shortcuts and have some pride in what you do. The peachless pie was awful. Take accountability.

I recently stopped by Meredith's Bread stand at the Walkway Over the Hudson in Highland and picked up two items: the small apple crumb and the small pecan pie. Wow—both were absolutely delicious! The filling was so flavorful, and the crust was perfect—flaky and buttery, exactly how a homemade pie should taste. I only wish I’d bought more because everything looked incredible. It’s too bad we don’t have such an amazing bakery in NYC! The young woman at the stand was also very kind and polite, making the experience even better. I hadn’t heard of Meredith's Bread before, but it’s now a must-visit for me. I’ll be sure to stop by their Kingston location next time I’m in the area—this bakery is worth the trip!
