Terrible experience. Their staff is all around rude; from the person that answered the phone, to the person who wouldn’t let us do a tasting because we were 3 minutes late (no sign for the place so I missed the turn) to the obnoxious server who gave us false information regarding what/how much food was required to purchase a glass of wine per person, and finally, the condescending guy behind the counter telling us we each (3 of us) had to order an appetizer AND an entree to get 1 glass of wine a piece. One glass!!! So we needed to order $100 worth of food to consume 3 glasses of wine? I tried to explain what the server told us and instead of him going with “oh maybe she explained it wrong, let me get her...” or something to that effect, he went with “well, it’s a state mandate”. And I was sure to remind him I was well aware of the state mandate and that had nothing to do anything. One of them gave me incorrect information. That’s it. I wasn’t refusing to buy food. So we left. A lost sale followed by a bad review all because he was too lazy to ask her WJAR she said to us.

It’s a damn shame because I traveled 6+ hours to visit this winery as I had heard such great things. Going forward, I’ll be sure to share what an upsetting experience it was. If the powers that be are reading are this, reign your staff in. This is clearly an example of taking advantage of patrons relating to the Governor’s order of serving food with alcohol. Crackers and cheese would’ve done just fine. I’ll pass on the...

We stopped here for lunch and visited the first floor of the gift shop. We did not do a tasting.

The good things: They have a restaurant on-site and are one of the few lunch options on the Western side of Keuka. The food was fine, if over-priced. We would stop here again. We ended up splitting an entree since we had a dinner plans for the evening. The view is awesome. I'm sure the restaurant deck in the summer would be a great place for lunch. The weather wasn't cooperative for us, but we still enjoyed the view. They have a nice gift shop. It was fun to take a look at things and have it separate from the tasting room. All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. After our previous two stops of the day, this was a refreshing surprise. We would go back simply for that reason alone.

The dings against them: Prices for food/drinks were quite high. I know food prices are up everywhere, but $18 or so for chicken tenders was a bit much. Another not-awesome thing is that the drinks you buy are in cans, so there are no free refills. If you have mobility issues, the winery is on a steep incline. They do have a drop-off area, but someone still has to walk up/down the hill (which can be a bit dicey after a ran makes things slippery). Even once you are up at the drop-off area, it is a bit of a walk to the side with the restaurant/gift shop.

We would definitely stop here again. The staff and views...

There’s so much to love for this particular vineyard and it just keeps growing in popularity!!!! We’ve been coming back for the past 15-20yrs since dear Ed was still working behind the wine tasting counter. For some reason Ed just seemed to make the wine and the atmosphere so much better. We love the wine, food, location, staff but our favorite is the artworks that is on every bottle. Each artwork has so much depth and history. Location is absolutely breathtaking! It’s situated on a hillside overlooking the Keuka Lake and If you drive a little further past the winery you can stand on some of the large rocks and see where the actual forks of the Finger Lakes!!! Wine - hands down winner for us! Food and their restaurant is very delicious. Prices is very reasonable. Seated outside on their patio is priceless. Menu hasn’t hanged much but it’s still delicious and there’s a little for everyone. Staff is super friendly. Service is fantastic although ordering in non traditional. You have to go up to their counter and place your order like a fast food restaurant. Not bad but it works. Cleanliness is great. Gift shop is fantastic. It has a little something for everyone as well. Views from Bully Hill is the most beautiful compared to others but the best thing of course is their wine!! Overall everyone will enjoy it and they continue to be consistent with great wine, food and staff. Thanks for all wonderful...

Overall fantastic, very relaxing and cordial. We spent the day here starting at 10:45 am. Dustin offered us a fantastic tour of the wine making areas that was awesome. All Bully Hill wines start at one place. It was magical to be at the Bully epicenter. Dylan was very friendly and helpful as well offering us what amenities we could enjoy. We met Oreo and Latte up the hill. We learned more about the Taylor lineage and Walter’s steadfast commitment to superior production and somewhat losing his lineage but never letting them get his Goat. I love my goat, too, and Bully is our vino. The tasting room was very fun. The room was active. The wine stewards are helpful and entertaining. Following that was the custom pour room located in the store but it was comfortable and welcoming. We felt no rush, no pressure. Lunch was great, no reservations needed. We had crab cakes and a pulled pork. Fantastic and fresh food, great service. The museum is a must see as well. Walter’s artwork is on display calling out the BSers of his world in a way I can relate. The history, rebranding, and continuing efforts will keep us in Bully for many years. Thank you 😋
