Dave & Rita's Farm Market & Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Varick

First time there. Upon walking in we were not acknowledged. Owner was talking with a couple, discussing how they were going to transport a wedding cake. They went out to their car, we looked around the tiny store. They came back in and talked more. They went outside again. Came back in again. Now it has been over 5 min and we still have not been acknowledged. Should have left then...I made a coffee and we stood about 6' from the register waiting to order pastry. It was almost 5 more min before the owner finally asked if that was all...we hadn't even ordered food yet...never smiled. He acted as if he could care less that we were there. We prefer to support local businesses. Unfortunately, terrible customer service with okay food equals us...

I ordered a wedding cake here for my Grandsons Reception. When I picked it up today the price was wonderful, and when I saw the cake it was so beautiful it almost made me cry. It was everything I had asked for and more. At the reception it was a hit. Many pictures were taken of it and when we sliced it up the line was long. This place was very nice, a Quaint little market with very good Pastries & desserts, along with Homegrown Veggies for sale! Also had Homemade Bread! The Owner was very nice & informative! I bought 6 ears of Corn which were delicious & each of my daughters bought desserts, one was a Super Brownie & the other was a Snore Brownie with gooy chocolate, marshmallows, she said it was the Best Chocolate Brownie Dessert...
