Grand Slam — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

Grand Slam has excellent NYC style pizza, good red sauce, Italian food and great Buffalo wings. . It's does a brisk 'to go' business. Also there is a dining room with very good art on the walls, about a dozen cotton, tablecloth-covered tables. In the back of the shop there's a connecting door to a sports bar (hence the name 'Grand Slam') that's pretty nice in a biker kind of way. NYC weekend bikers/weekday lawyers and accountants make pit stops here for food and a beer. Also the place sponsors a team in the local softball league.

Grand Slam is in the tiny rural hamlet of Circleville NY, with a few other shops including a WPA deco post office, a church, which is where we vote, a Deli, a couple of restaurants, haircutters, a liquor store, a modern building that houses a bank; there's an automotive shop and so on. As far as I can tell aside from the bank and the post office, the buildings here are dated in the 18th & 19th centuries, mostly 19th. Lot of history here. There's a little road from the center of the hamlet that leads out to a rural park with a small lake, and a swimming beach in a woodland setting. Circleville is an undiscovered little gem, about an hour from NYC. Exit 118 on the Quickway (NY Route 17/Interstate 86). Worst service , manners , and food. Ordered last night and when my boyfriend got there (40 mins later and they said 20 min wait ) they hadn’t even started cooking our food and they were dead . Get home with our food 40 mins later and it is HORRIBLE . You could taste the old grease . They said the mozz sticks came in an order of 6 , we got 5 in both containers . The chicken was burnt . The fries were drenched in grease . They were TERRIBLE . Worst business I couldve...

Very cool relaxed environment it is not only a bar but also a pizza place that has very good pizza. Fun and entertaining to go they also have a selection of arcade games as well it is a good time with very laid back chill vibes. Family operated and I would definitely go again.
