We are local-ish and came across AMA after a quick yelp search for something new. We were greeted by a very friendly Jens upon entering. The ambiance is chic but comfortable and the menu is large enough to accommodate but not be overwhelming. We were given delicious bread sticks and dip while we ordered our drinks and the ordered a margherita pizza. We realized we would be a last-minute 4-top and Jens and our waitress Ashley handled it without a pause and held our entrees. The pizza was good, probably a 6.5/10. The crust was the best part but the sauce could have used a little oomph. Next time we would order a specialty pie for sure. Once our friends arrived we all ordered different entrees: the salmon, the Lebanese burger, pork medallions and Scoglio. Everything was brought out at once and everyone raved about their meals. Despite the full bellies we were promised that the dessert donut was delicious and we weren’t disappointed but the chocolate soufflé really stole the show. I would however pass on the espresso as it is guaranteed to keep you up for a week or more. Also, shout out the Darlene for the great drinks and banter. The whole staff enhanced the experience which is something we- as self-proclaimed foodies- look for in a great restaurant. Thank you to Ashley, Jens and Darlene for making us...
Read moreWe went in to AMA expecting a pizzaria but instead found a beautiful Italian restaurant. They use fresh ingredients to create the most amazing dishes. Our server Libby is a fantastic ambassador for the restaurant - enthusiastic & knowledgable about the menu and ingredients they use. We ordered everything she recommended - eggplant parmesan appetizer, Caesar salad, pesto & burrata pizza and the figura pizza. Every first bite was an "eyes roll back in your head" moment. We took the chocolate mousse cake home for dessert - absolutely delicious. Luckily we have leftovers of everthing to enjoy again! In addition to incredible food, the service was spot on. Libby was attentive and the hostess, Shay, checked in as well. It was a great experience all around. My husband and I are self proclaimed food snobs and we were very impressed. We are looking forward to returning to AMA with friends and trying out some of their other dishes. Everything about AMA is fantastic - atmosphere, service, and incredibly...
Read moreThis was a strange experience to say the least. Maybe everyone is just used to mediocre but I couldn't let this go. First and foremost - the staff need polishing. No idea what was on the back bar, they told us the specials AFTER we ordered and verbatim one of them was 'pork tenderloin with tuna, lemon and capers.' I audibly asked the server if they saw the dish and did they take the notes correctly cause that sounds atrocious. Cacio e Pepe was sent with little to no pepper and it wasn't coarse ground pepper. Oh let me back track - EVERY table that came in after us during our experience was asked what they wanted to drink before their butts were in a seat. Why? No one checked in on us. No manager to be seen. The bartender eating behind the bar. I was shocked how one thing after another just kept happening it was so comical. I paid over $300 for this dinner for two and I can honestly say I regret every dollar and minute spent in...
