The Estate at Maplewood is a walk through history. The grounds and buildings are lovely. Take a minute to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere. Small or large groups are accommodated. We had a large group, and our service provider was terrific and helpful with meal recommendations. The wine selection was limited. We'd like to see them expand their offerings. The eats were cooked to order, and special requests were accommodated. With a large group, they delivered timely and ensured our meals met specifications. The group agreed they'd make this a repeat location. The meals across the group were good.

So disappointed in this place. It was recommended by the folks at the state park and the building and grounds are beautiful. The dining area left a lot to be desired with wire containers with mustard and ketchup on the tables felt like a roadside diner. There were benches along the wall and a coat rack. Some attention to the decor would go far. The Salmon I ordered was raw and the Jack Daniel's glaze was watery and not flavorful at all. This place has so much potential bur sadly it's not meeting it at all. Do better.

We had the loaded fries appetizer and then I had the pulled pork Mac & cheese bowl and both were so amazing! The atmosphere is also very cool, kinda like a castle! We sat at big wooden picnic tables (inside) that were comfy. Also discovered a hangout space with shuffleboard, a pool table, and darts on our way out that looked fun! If it looks busy, still give it a shot because there was an event in the house that a lot of people were parked for, and hardly anyone in the restaurant!

I give this place 2 stars, like alot of people local to the area I was excited to the idea that we actually had a good restaurant to go eat at, because as alot of people know it's hard to find a Good place to eat locally unless you want pizza.we went as a large group atleast 8 people.the place is rustic almost historic , they had the fire place going it was a nice atmosphere. But the waitress serving us didn't ask us if we wanted drinks immediately took out food order and bolted.she seemed very stressed and uncaring. I ordered the 30$ rib eye baked potatoe and fries and had to walk up the the bar for a soda which was completely flat no carbonation . I should have know what i was in for when the meal was brought out and had an orange slice as a garnish? The rib eye was a complete joke it was like chunks of fat and gristle glued together .i asked for well done it was not, no seasoning I had to add salt and pepper to get the two bite of meat? That I was able to find in the pile of fat and gristle. I DO NOT recommend the rib eye. It was disgusting. The baked potato was I'm gonna guess 3 days old it was almost black in color and the actual inside of the baked potatoes was brown like it was sitting out all day. Best part of the meal was the fries. In conclusion if you get hammered at the bar and eat your probably good to go . But if you think your gonna go out have a glass of wine with your significant other and have. Beautiful dinner date go some where else, better luck at texas road house. It's a shame but I will not go back and I have no good words to say to others who ask...

This is long but bare with me. We made a reservation 5 days in advance of Father's Day. I was told at the time no reservations necessary but I made one anyway. Thank goodness I did because they were turning away people (there were maybe 15 people in the entire place, which could probably seat 200 +) Apparently the chef had a baby, ok cool except later someone said it was 4 days ago. Ok I get it they deserve their time but come on as a business you need to figure it out. They actually had called us an hour before saying that they were only serving buffet (no mention of any extenuating circumstances). Not my favorite but Ok I'll give it a try, as there is like Nothing within 25 miles. To make a very long story somewhat shorter, the food was lukewarm at best and looked like rewarmed leftovers. I witnessed at least 4 groups come in that were denied because they were not seating anyone w/o a reservation. BUT, I also witnessed 2 meals come out of the kitchen that were NOT buffet food (a rack of ribs and a cheeseburger/fries). At this point, what the hell we might as well see what the game room was like and... the cook and a server were there hanging out. Really!!. They charged $30 for a na sty buffet and horrible, horrible food service, when it was apparent that they did not want to be there. I would have figured something out if you just would have been up front when you called but no you'd rather screw people out of their hard earned...

It’s taken me a while to get to Maplewood—definitely not wow’d, but not completely dissatisfied. We had a decent sized group (6), appetizer arrived in a timely manner. 2 meals came out well before the other 4 meals- 3 of us order specials and 3 of us ordered burgers. The burgers were dry and over cooked, and the specials were ok- again not wow’d.

Our server did an excellent job-

I think the draw here is the ascetics of the building- which is beautiful, full of characteristics and charm. Don’t go with anticipation of an outstanding meal- just go enjoy the building! Sit by the fire and have a drink.

Maybe I’ll return to try it again- maybe I’ll just go sit by the fire with a...
