I can't even tell you how brilliant this place is without hyping you up too much. We are from Texas and miss a really great Mexican plate. We had a big group and everyone wanted something different after leaving the Apple picking farm up the road, so we looked up some local spots. This had great charm and honest reviews. American comfort food & Mexican. I have to come back from breakfast, without doubt. Everyone at the table including our little ladies enjoyed their different meal to the fullest. We had worked up a big appetite with all the walking, and the fast service really meant a great deal to us with both toddlers and infants past their feeding time. From the chimichangas, past the burritos and to the fresh ground house made Burger, (house made tortilla chips appetizer) we crushed it all. Of course we had to get desert as well, even tho I have no clue how the kids lasted this long. They loved their scoops, my Tres Leches knocked it, and the rice pudding was shared making me get some for the road 🤣. This place is a staple and landmark of the community. They have an ATM but I did not have my debit card and my regular credit card has a large cash advance fee so I was embarrassingly scrambling around the inside of my car for enough money to give them them when the waitress said that I could just go home, eat the breakfast and come back later to pay. Was a very nice and much appreciated gesture. On top of that, the food that I had was excellent. The fresh blueberry French toast was delicious, even without butter or syrup. The veggie omelet and biscuits with gravy were equally as good. Thank you again Country Dream- I Will remember to bring...
Read moreAt 6:30pm on a Saturday, it was a red flag to us that we were the only people there. We took a chance, and I hope you will learn from our mistake. I ordered the Saturday special, which was "baked ham with all the trimmings!" They brought me three slices of deli meat, powdered mashed potatoes with zero flavor, and carrots that were cooked to death. I'm not joking. I have pictures. $18 for three slices of deli meat that they microwaved and called "baked ham." I have eaten at assisted living facilities, hospitals, and Army dining facilities and had better food at all of them for a fraction of the price....
