The GUNK View Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Wawarsing

Food is severely overpriced for what you get. Our friends ordered wings and they smelled spoiled and like fish and were not edible. $14 for a salmon burger that is at best 3oz of fish on a bun with lettuce tomato and onion. Ordered a side of asparagus and not only was it so shriveled and overcooked, the ends were not snapped off before being prepared and it was completely inedible, we could not even cut it into pieces. We were there for over an hour and a half for food that was below subpar. There were only two other tables besides ours. We heard another table get fed up waiting for their food and left (lucky them). No menu for available alcoholic beverages and the staff did not know what craft beer was (later on we saw different beers being offered to other customers that we would have enjoyed!). They should have a printed menu for alcoholic beverages or train their staff better. The waitstaff was very apologetic and took the food that we could not eat off of our bill. We left hungry, after spending $78 on two entrees and drinks!! We were given bagged plastic utensils that could barely cut our food, and the waitstaff did not wear gloves when bringing out food or drinks! Oh, and the restrooms were disgusting. Just popped in last night because a friend told me that the Fried Chicken on Thursday nights was amazing. They weren’t kidding. It was succulent and delicious. My daughter had the salmon and the sauce was amazing. I would definitely come back. So glad I have another option for dining...

Choose alternative if u can or come in for pizza. Eggplant was deep fried frozen.. Bad ofcourse price is of fresh... Not good experience service. Ordered salad which never came! Wife ordered chicken which was decent. Combined with lack of service.. Let's just say we won't...
