Up North Wood Fire Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Webb

My husband and I stopped in for take out before reaching our campsite. NEVER AGAIN! I ordered plantains, as I am Puerto Rican, I was extremely disappointed. At $7.50, they were dry as dirt,because they didn't have any garlic sauce, or salt, and every puerto rican knows that plantains come with sauce and plenty of it. Waste of money. My husband ordered the sausage and peppers, which consisted of 1 sausage cut in half,on a hamburger bun and a few pieces of peppers. Fries were average, $14.50. I had the chicken quesadilla, $17.50. Ordered 1 margarita and double Jim Bean for hubby, I believe they were $15.00 each because the entire bill was a bit over $72.00, and being the person that I am, I left a $10 tip, not knowing what the food looked like until we got back to our campsite. Absolutely love it here!! Been going to Old Forge area since I was a kid and just stopped here for the first time and so glad I did. The atmosphere is really nice and comfortable but what was far more important to me was the people and how they treated me/interacted with me. Nama was AMAZING, very approachable and easy to have a conversation with. She made my visit there one I'll never forget with the stories and laughs. The owner Sue was a riot, high energy, super outgoing, friendly and funny AF. I even spoke with the cook Rob who was very friendly, we swapped some stories for a bit and seems like a good dude. We had an absolutely amazing time at this bar and restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed like old friends. The owners are so hands-on and friendly, making sure every guest is taken care of. The prices are fantastic, and the atmosphere is unbeatable.

One of the highlights was the arcade upstairs—it’s incredible! It added such a fun and unique element to the experience. Mark, the brother of the owner, was an absolute gem. He went out of his way to chat with us and made our group feel like we were right back at our hometown bar. We came back the second night, and the hospitality was just as wonderful.

This place is a true gem. We can’t wait to return and bring more friends next time!...
