This place is my wife & I's go to date nite location. It never disappoints. Best Margaritas, salsa, beans, and service around IMO. We are such frequent flyers that Ariel knows exactly what we want and most of the staff knows our faces. We both usually get the Enchiladas dinners and I usually get cheese quesadilla on the side; we've both learned the hard way that it's best to save some for later or else our night is over after dinner from being stuffed. Pro Tips: get some bean dip to go with your chips & salsa. Get there early to avoid waiting, not that you'll ever wait too long--but we try to get in before 5, b/c this place gets more popular every year...and it's not tough to see why. The owners are heavily involved, hustling around to help their staff in the front & back of the house. Owners daughter tends bar and is super friendly... Marianne is a staple, buzzing around checking on all the tables. I really can't say enough good things about this place. We went there years ago when it was under different ownership and the place was sort of dirty and the food was avg, but last few years it's our favorite place (not just Mexican, but fav overall). I never care about the bill or gratuity b/c I enjoy every minute of being there and the food is sooooo good. The picture I've included is something I order about 25% of the time or less, but it's the one I had handy on my phone--Grande Sampler which includes 2-enchiladas, 2-tacos, 2-burritos, and huge pile of nachos in the middle---it's great but trust me when I tell you the Enchilada Dinner or Banderas is the way to go, and you'll def have leftovers once or even twice if you're a small fry. p.s. after re-reading it probably sounds like I'm a friend of the owners or something, I promise I'm not--but I've worked in restaurants for years and these people just do everything the right way! I hope it's working out well for them!

My visit for the first time was very nice. I was seated promptly and given our menus. They have a combination of booth and table seating. Complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were given with our drink orders. Salsa is good with a mild taste; not spicy. I ordered the taco bowl and it was very delicious; served hot, (heat), well seasoned, good presentation and made to my liking. Your choice of chicken (my choice), beef or pork with layers of refried beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoes inside a tortilla bowl. I ordered the cheese, queso and sour cream on the side so i can add the amount to my food. Also ordered french fries that were a little disappointing since they were just plain crinkle fries, some mexican seasoning on them would have helped. Our waiter provided excellent service who was friendly and very attentive. Mexican music is played in thr background to add to the ambience, but is a little too loud for my ears. There is a TV to watch while eating too. It was quite cold in the section we were seated, so I suggest bringing a sweater. Cannot comment on the appetizers or the alcoholic drinks since no order was placed at the time of my visit. Overall, I am pleased with my initial visit and would return to try other dishes. Would recommend to others.

Probably the worst experience I have had at any Mexican restaurant in the US. The building looks to be a house turned In to a restaurant which is a bit strangish. The service was erratic and poor, we had to wait for everything even basics like napkins or water. I had to ask the manager for help due to our servers lack of basic customer service. We received the meals slow and the kids meal was delivered last to the table. Now to the food.. the salsa was to us basically spagetti sauce with some added spices. You get one tiny bowl of chips for free then 2.50 for any more baskets ( any place has free refils except here) The chicken was rubbery and everything on the table every meal had a sweetness to it kind of like sugar was included in everything. You can see from the last picture we basically ate nothing since it was so bad. Unfortunately we were hungry from a long day so some of it was eaten plus we had to pay for the food. I recommend not coming here at all and trying any other Mexican restaurant before this restaurant.

I've been here before and had better experiences before. The latest was tainted by poor service. The food is relatively consistent. The flavor of the food is on par with other Mexican restaurants of its caliber. The portion sizes are great! The service is consistently inconsistent. This particular visit, I feel as though someone who isnt usually a server filled in, in anticipation if them being busy. At the time, they weren't any busier than should be expected though. The server seemed distracted and barely checked on our table. It took longer than expected for him to come take our orders, he made no attempt to explain the specials. He brought us warm margaritas and didnt come back after the food to find out if we were ok. The party consisted of 2 adults, a 4 yr old and a 10 month old. There was nothing unique about our orders or oir existence in general. In tge meantime, we saw others receive attention, prompt service and their servers smiled and exchanged basic pleasantries. Our guy wasn't rude, he was just an unattentive server. I'm not dramatic enough to feel like the experience or the meal were ruined by this, and we will probably go back, but we would prefer not to be served by this guy unless he gives us the impression that he cares more than he...
