My first visit there was great, but when returning today, it was a different story. I asked the server for the specials and all she told me was the soup of the day. The party I was dining with had to leave the patio and go inside to find out the specials. We saw some really nice looking milkshakes come outside to another table and when we ordered them we were told they take a while to make and it would be a bit. When they came out, the looked nothing like what the other table had been served. One person ordered the French onion soup and it came out with no garnishment, No croutons or cheese, nothing. The server made me feel as if we were inconveniencing her and I tipped her accordingly. She received less than 10%...
Read moreWe are here visiting from out of state and we came here for breakfast. Oh, boy were we in for a delightful meal. The area is lovely and quaint. The owners are incredibly kind and had our food made in a timely manner. I try to take photos of the food before digging in, but when I saw the French toast and bacon...well, I dug in like a 🐖. I realized that I hadn't taken a picture at the very end. Sorry for tempting you with an almost empty plate. 😅 I did include some photos of the restaurant. I will be there again...
Read moreWhat a fun find on our recent road trip. Just 3 minutes off the highway, and we're at this authentically local restaurant on the shore of Lake Erie. Local dishes, locally sourced ingredients, fresh pies made right there in house. Perch was lightly breaded just right.n I'm a cole slaw fanboy, and Jack's is excellent. Jack's fries were meaty and delicious. After eating we strolled a block down to the beach and dipped our toes Lake Erie. What a fun little memory maker this...
