Sawyer Creek Hotel — Restaurant in Town of Wheatfield

I went to Sawyer Creek for a late dinner with a group and though opinions varied amongst the party (most tilting towards terrible to okay), I enjoyed the wings that I ordered. Our server recommended them as one of her favorite things on the menu and they did not disappoint. I ordered them medium and crispy and they came out perfectly.

Others felt the food was bland in taste and did not look visually appealing

In terms of the quality of service it was somewhat disappointing though. We stated at the beginning of the dining experience that we would all be separate checks (it was five of us) and were told no problem and that it would be sorted out at the end. This was not the case and it led to a long delay as our server had to go back and individually hand write and take each of our cards one at a time to close our checks. Food was good. Everything was brought in a timely manner. Service was TERRIBLE. The waitress was a tall, young girl with black hair and tattoos. She was HORRIBLE. So mean to my family and I because we came in an HOUR AND A HALF before they stopped serving food. Huffing and puffing, sarcastic remarks, no conversation because she was aggravated we came in. She made the whole evening of celebrating (a birthday and a win for my brother) into a night of rushing and making us feel like such a burden. The restaurant was empty, not a single person other than us. It was very disappointing being treated this way, especially by a place we bring our business to often. I think she embarrassed us more than anything and made us feel so awkward from the time we stepped in. Two other employees who I assume were the dish washer and chef even came out to look at us as if we had done something wrong! I will NEVER go there...

Probably one of the worst places I've ever been I've always occasionally drove by this place and wondered how good the fish fry was.... Me and my girlfriend walked in we're in our twenties very small and crowded inside I got calamari which was overcooked and very tough the sauce was also the discussing it tasted like it came out of a can we both got beer-battered fish fries but the problem was the fish was not beer battered at all it was breaded and it was also Frozen worst tartar sauce ever worst Coleslaw Ever we didn't say anything negative to the waitress we just felt like it was best to pay and leave... It's always a bad sign in a restaurant when all the patrons are 80 years old. All the decor was just random junk that was collected throughout the years it looks like somebody cleaned out their attic and put stuff around the restaurant to decorate I will never ever ever ever be back to this...
