Been here multiple times throughout the years. Used to be one of my favorite places to go. Over the last few years the service has declined big time. Always someone new behind the bar, and the other night I called In an order for pickup, was told 30-35 minutes. No problem… came in at the 35 minute mark and was handed my check and gave my card. The check sat there for a while before the bartender came back, unfortunately the internet went down at the restaurant. I understand things happen that are out of our control. I wound up waiting a total of 55 minutes before the bartender asked if she could just take down my credit card info and I could get my food. I only waited because the riggies are my favorite, but 55 minutes to be told to give my credit card info was ridiculous. Also I asked the bartender if the food had been sitting back there for the duration of my wait, she said no she had just packaged everything. I ordered 2 orders of riggies and 20 wings. I just wish she would have been honest with me. As soon as she handed me the bags I knew nothing was fresh. Got home and the wings were soggy and ice cold. Riggies had to be reheated and still didn’t taste great. Pasta had absorbed all the sauce. I hate to leave bad reviews but later that night when my card was finally charged I honestly expected them to give some sort of a discount because I had To wait an extra 55 minutes. They didn’t, they also still charged the extra 3.99% fee for using my debit card, which is ridiculous. I understand small businesses because I owned one, but 3.99% fee is too high and they should have comped something or at least given me fresh hot food after waiting so long. So dissatisfied and...
Read moreThe short version: At first I thought the "69" was for the road its on, but after spending 60 dollars on one of the most disappointing meals of my life, I finally realize its because the customers get blatantly *.
The long version: To start, don't expect any accommodations for replacing vegetables when ordering a 25$ steak, frech fries must be in short volume these days because the irony starts when they wanted ~3 more dollars to replace the salad and vegies with fires. I declined and thought, "Thats ok, It must be company policy." So then we finally get our meals (both being sirloin steaks), one with a side of fries and one with a baked potato. The first meal is put down and has literally (I counted) 10 overly salted french fires. Not steak fries I mind you, 10 little fries. This made me giggle at the thought they wanted 3 extra dollars and had a fit in the beginning about replacing the veggies and then have the audacity to present what looks as a sick joke of a plate of fries. Adding to this, the side I got, the baked potato, was hard and not edible. "Dang these steaks better be immaculate" I thought. At first glace, they looked just plain weird. I have never seen a serloin look the way this one did. And the last ray of hope finally was stricken down when I took the first bite; overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. It also tasted just plain bad, almost like the grill has never been cleaned. So this left 0 for 4 items that we received, and I was simply done with this place. I have absolutely zero intention of returning and I recommend anyone to say far, far away...
Read moreFirst off, let me say the staff was very good! Our server was attentive and efficient. Took care of us... nothing but good things to say about her!
The food is overall ok to good depending on what you order. I started with a Caesar salad and had the broiled haddock bianco (broiled haddock with sautéed spinach and mozzarella on top). The salad was a bit lacking for the price (10 bucks + 3 bucks for the addition of chicken). Lettuce was fresh, but the small chopped pieces of chicken were disappointing. They were small cubes and hardly enough, IMO. It had some sprinkled "shaker" Romano cheese, again, just a light sprinkle.
The fish was ok...it was kind of bland, and the spinach/mozzarella topping lacked flavor as well. The vegetables on the side were cold, and soggy. If I had to guess they came from a frozen package. The fish was not exactly hot either, my guess is that my meal was sitting for a minute or two while our order was completed for service. Also, fish seems to go cool very quickly - something I have noticed eating fish in restaurants.
The good news is, that as a steakhouse, my wife's steak was tender, hot and cooked perfectly. It lacked a little seasoning, IMO, but that is subjective...
Maybe I made the mistake of ordering fish in a steakhouse (an old joke from my chef brother), so overall it was fine. Stick with their steaks and you will have a wonderful meal! Again, the staff was very helpful, working with our dietary needs.
The 3 photos represents all the food we ordered...with 2 soft drinks the total was over 70 bucks! Pricey, if...
