Best part about this bar? The name.

It's hard for me to think of a warmer welcome then seeing the bartender scowl at you through the kitchen door peep hole as you walk in. The darkness of her soul was immediately made evident when she was grateful enough to turn on the lights to the entry way and dining room to make sure we weren't walking into a Saw movie. The bartender was also kind enough to approach us with a sternly, "Only the fryers are on!" I always feel warm and welcome by people that are immediately annoyed by your presence, so this was pure ecstasy. Excellent service, multi tasking able tender/waitress with a capable cook. I ordered a Philly steak sub, which alone is top notch. Adding a twist, I added chicken fingers for an impromptu stinger which wasn't on the menu.

What got me was the toasted roll. It made me think of a loaf of bread cut and sliced, toasted and just simply delicious. I can only imagine how it will be as a leftover, thick enough to maintain its sturdiness unlike other more paltry rolls.

Alongside the (custom) sub, I ordered a yuengling and muy Thai (bartenders favorite/specialty). A little pricey for my custom sub but worth it to eat in my opinion, at a total of $27.48 with a mixed drink and tap beer.

Hubby and I stopped for dinner since we’d never been there before. Appetizers were your average frozen things you could get at tops but they were edible. The philly cheese steak was okay, but the prime rib sandwich was honestly one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever tasted. It’s not really a sandwich, it’s more like a terrible cut of steak on a plain piece of white bread with instant potatoes and canned gravy.
