A Hidden Gem Just Outside Downtown Wilson What an absolute find! This spot delivers elevated, thoughtful food in a cozy yet sophisticated setting. Every dish we tried was creative and beautifully executed—clearly crafted with care and intention. The real magic, though, is in the people. The owners, Dave and Candace, are hands-on, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They bartend, serve, chat with guests, and make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. It’s rare to find a place where the atmosphere, service, and food all shine this brightly. Just minutes from downtown Wilson, it’s well worth the short drive—and then some. We’ll absolutely be back.

This bar is a hidden gem but it is worth finding. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. It has a fresh lemon motif. They make a good drink and they give it to you with a smile. If you sit at a table you have to order your drink at the bar. The food is locally farm sourced. And it is fresh and different. Dave and Candyce work extremely hard to bring excellence to the bar scene, you can tell that they like doing what they do. They both pay attention to detail. The locals are friendly too. It's a nice change from the big city rush, very laid back. There is lots of parking. Try the Mediterranean appetizer, it's very good.

Had a quick dinner for one at the bar on a Monday evening, which did not disappoint. As a bourbon lover, I tried The Paper Plane and the Route 425 Gold Rush. Both cocktails were distinct and full of flavor. Even though it was busy, the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely personable. You could tell they cared about the experience. For dinner, I had the pesto turkey on a baguette, which is a nice fresh alternative to the bar fare everyone else serves in town. Highly recommend The Lemon Room in Wilson if you’re into cocktails with character and a staff that makes you feel welcome even when the place is packed.
