I recently went to the Wilson Boat House. The atmosphere was lovely and euphoric. With live music outdoors on their beautiful patio, a variety of tropical drinks (such as the Rasberry Margherita that I had), and the bay right off of the patio, I felt like I was on vacation. Their food was perfect. I would highly recommend their fishfries. They are made with Panko Breadcrumbs and portions are big, with reduced price on Fridays. If you like crab cakes, you'll love theirs. I was very impressed with Bethany Sears the General Manager. She is smart, friendly, and very hospitable.

Summer is a great time to visit a waterfront venue and enjoy a fish fry. An added benefit is when the venue provides live music. The Wilson Boat House provides all that. The Panko Breaded Fish Fry was prepared just right. The availability of healthy sides is a plus; on this night it was grilled asparagus. My server Hannah L was very attentive making sure my needs were met. Greatly appreciated 😊. The Thurmann Brothers entertained that night, excellent performance as always. Thank you staff and management for a wonderful dining experience.

It was a very atmospheric restaurant. You could see right into the harbor. They have wonderful outside seating also. The food was good, the wait staff was even better, the tables were laid out in preparation for guests. I would have given a 5 star, but they didn't serve bread, but they did set out the bread plates. When a restaurant has high prices, they should at least offer bread. They had the Dave Viterna band playing that night, and the accommodations were great for a band with the outside seating. Overall, I would highly recommend!

08/11/2022* update-since I reviewed this posting in summer 2018, a big kudos to the new owners carrying on in a similar fashion, with some subtle menu variations.

Views of sunsets, sailboats and tastefully prepared dishes.

My date had the *seafood pasta with ( 4 ) each of: succulent clams, jumbo shrimp, and scallops (with a perfect sear), in a light wine sauce which tasted like heaven)- on our last visit I had rib eye as on a previous visit ( well a shaved ribeye sandwich to go which is not on the menu now, there is an excellent Pot Roast Sandwich- definitely you will feel fulfilled . Yummy

*I wish they could bring back this particular seafood pasta dish however, this time (she) had fish tacos and they were out of this world tasty, as was the summer night we were enjoying, not too hard to handle and tempting our palate system, nonetheless.

Alight with live music outside, seating inside is insulated from most of the music, comfortable for family, friends and/or lovers. We sat/stood outside for the music at a two top table, which have bar stools. There is also an outside bar and an inside bar. Fully stocked!

Whether dancing you calories off or indulging in one of many desserts, perhaps you too, will place your summer get-away plans with this unique establishment.

For take away we ordered sweet potato fries and, they never would have made it home If it weren't for the stuffed banana peppers, out of this world delicious, the stuffing and blistering of the pepper skin which releases the flavor... wow!

I can't speak enough of how attentive the staff was. Never hovering. The manager is is doing a fantastic job overall. Kudos to this person!

The inside/out of this restaurant is cozy and inviting with a nautical, but streamlined theme throughout.

I have spent many memorable nights in Wilson. I would always advise calling ahead if one has questions. (They're well staffed and well versed in the Locale/surrounding areas)

If you want a break from the everyday, with affordable seasonal prices and a gorgeous view, come try a summer home away from home : The Wilson Boathouse Restaurant.

Accessible parking. Accessible seating inside and out, with some --minor variations (outside), accessible restrooms as of my...

My husband and I frequent the Boathouse. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to make a special night of it. I made online reservations and requested outside seating. We arrived 15 minutes early planning on getting a drink before our table was ready.  When we arrived we were met by a very friendly young woman who was checking on the availability of an outside table. Skylar arrived at the podium and told the other girl that we couldn't sit outside because she had reservations waiting to be seated out there. I explained that we had reservations and had requested outside seating.  She didn't even acknowledged I had spoken. She then told the girl just seat them in Maria's section. We were seated in the middle of the dining room next to a pole. Not the scenic view we were expecting.  Then the waitress came over.  She was very friendly.  She greeted us and was in the middle of asking if we would like drinks and Skylar rudely interrupted her and demanded she leave us for another table.  Our waitress (Maria) apologized and left to tend to the other table.  When she came back to take our order we explained we were in no hurry and were celebrating our anniversary.  We ordered drinks and appetizer of eggplant melenzana It came out with our salads. Both were great.  We had just began to eat our salads and appetizer when our plates were being pushed aside for the main entrées. We had both ordered scampi. I had scallops my husband had shrimp. They were made with big flat egg noodles.  I've never had scampi made that way. The flavor was there but the noodles were all stuck together.  My husband finished his meal before I did and the waitress practically cleared the table before I was done. I was so put off by this time I just had her box up the appetizer we didn't have a chance to finish and the majority of my meal. I had originally planned on coffee and dessert but just wanted to get out of there. Such a disappointment.  We ended up going to another restaurant for dessert and nightcaps. You have a prime location but service and presentation play a big part in getting people to return.  Skylar's rude attitude and being rushed through our meal will definitely make us think twice...

Meal should have been free with how bad the service was…DO NOT EAT HERE!!! 3 hour horrible experience. Hostess was doing the job of 10 people cleaning off tables before people could be seated. Should have known to walk out the door knowing she just had to clear tables on the nicest night on a holiday weekend with a band playing, most good restaurants would be booked solid. Server took almost 20 minutes to come greet and take a drink order. Appetizer took almost 30 minutes to come out. I even set a timer to see how long it would take to get refills after having to ask for them which averaged about 20-30 minutes. While waiting almost an hour+for the cold food to arrive, which was definitely left sitting in the kitchen I noticed other tables complaining about the horrible service and the people at the table next to us asked for napkins and silverware 4 times before they got some and I’m sure their food was cold by then. Had to basically beg for the bill to get out of there and she never came back to get change had to beg the bartender to make change just to leave and she even waited on 4 other people behind me. Overall this place is horribly managed and no one is trained to do their job right. They are running around clueless. I have consistently had bad service here and I try to give this place another chance every summer and every time it gets worse. I will never return and I strongly advice anyone to go to a different restaurant because it wasn’t even busy so they...
