Scenic View Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Winfield

With such great reviews we decided to stop here after apple picking down the road. I do not leave tons of reviews. Even if place was a little under par. But this was a complete and utter fail. Maybe there was no cook and everything was fried or microwaved?

The Brisket sandwich. No sauce or juice. And the meat itself was completely brown (no pink not even light brown) and tough like jerky. No smoke flavor. See for yourself. Wife got a burger. Was supposed to have fried green tomato on it. It did not. Also overdone. Onion rings...half burnt, half good. I mean.....how does that even happen unless you make it using two different batches? Someone's leftovers? Pickle chips...little pieces of charcoal Soda tasted a little off but not bad. Kids still drank it. Pizza was good. Should have stayed at the apple orchard and had their hot dogs.

In closing....I typically take leftovers home even if mediocre since I'm paying for it. I left all the leftovers except pizza. I wouldn't even bring it home to our two dogs who eat their own poop and cat litter. Let...

It was our first time there. I definitely liked the atmosphere of the place, It catches the eye. Also the view of the campsites around the lake with the campfires going was a pleasent site saw. It was busy when we got there so there was quite a wait for our food but nothing horribly bad. Our server was polite and did check on us frequently. I ordered the scenic view burger (medium) w fries. My other half ordered the chicken cordon blue balls and sweet potato fries. The wait wasnt bad but the way the food came out was one of the few flaws. Instead of all at once my gfs whole order came out first. My burger came out about 5 mins later followed by my fries 5 mins after that. As for my burger it was well done and one of my gf's cordon bites was hollow. All in all that didnt ruin the experience because the food was still flavorful and well prepared. Will indeed go back in the future and I definitely recommend stopping there if you havent...

This bar and grill is a part of a local campground. What a wonderful experience. The food varies from homemade pizza to one of the best fish fries available. The decor is pleasant, clean and rustic. We have made this restaurant a regular stop for Friday fish fry. Every menu item is tasty, comes out hot and tasty. The cook can only be described as excellent. A view from the bar area seating affords a beautiful view of the best of Upstate New York. Both Patrons and staff are super friendly and you will have an overall excellent dining experience. Great...
