Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Tracy

While reading through the reviews on this exact location of Jack in the box, I have a few words myself. First of all, within reading the reviews a ton of people have been saying they get the wrong order or the food the correct order isn’t in the bag. That seems to be a re-occurring situation at this location. I get maybe 2 or 3 times, but almost every single review has this written on it. This has also happened to me multiple times at this location but none of the others in tracy, weird. Another topic I’d like to discuss is how unmotivated the workers look and act. It seems like they don’t want to be there, understandably, although it’s like that all hours of the day. The times I’ve been they just don’t seem like they have the motivation to be there. I have no idea what happens in their home life but I think it’s not that at all. This location drives me up the walls with their customer service. Especially the older people that work there, they really look like they don’t wanna be there. They will also speak Spanish on front of their customers, and say really awful things about them right in front of them in another language. I’ve witnessed This multiple times while waiting for my food, which took forever. I look like a white person, but I am fluent in Spanish and speak and understand Spanish very well, so when I hear people say rude things about their customers in another language thinking we can’t understand them makes me never want to go there. I went in with my brother on 5/16/25 at around 7:45 in the morning. We each ordered a breakfast burrito. Mine didn’t have the cheese melted and when I bit into it, it tasted weird. That same day around 11pm I started feeling a bit tired and energy less. At around 3 in the morning I had the worst stomach ache of my life. I spent 3 hours in the bathroom because I also had diarrhea. I wasn’t able to sleep on my side because I felt like I was going to throw up and I was burping a lot like I’ve never burped. I had to sleep facing up. Around 8 am I woke up to the sound of my brother throwing up. He didn’t have any other symptoms at the time but later that day he developed the same symptom as me which were a terrible headache, a TERRIBLE stomach ache, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and being completely drained of energy. Today is 05/18/25 and I still feel terrible. I will be laying off of eating out for some time and will definitely NEVER be eating at Jack in the Box ever again. This is the one and only time I have ever gotten food poisoning from a restaurant and is not something I want to go through worth again. If you’re reading this Jack in the Box management, please tell your employees to wash their hands and make sure your food isn’t expired. Listen, it’s a Jack-in-the-Box and the expectations aren’t that high to begin with. It’s a place to come get a quick meal when one is busy and on the go. This particular one is attached to a gas station. I ordered and paid for my food and proceeded to attempt to use the bathroom to wash my hands. Both unisex bathrooms were occupied, so I waited. A rude young woman came out and as I tried to go in, she told me I wasn’t allowed to use the public bathroom because it’s for employees only. I did advise the cashier who reported it to someone else and they determined it’s something she’s been doing to avoid cleaning the bathroom. This person, who elected to work here (I’m pretty sure nobody begged her to take the job), is putting lives in danger by forbidding people use the bathroom for handwashing (especially for those with weaker immune systems). I understand not wanting to work, but if that’s the case, don’t accept the job. I paid for food and service… My expectations being minimal, this could have been a good review.
