Dear Cassano's, I won't change my rating to 4 stars because the choice to discontinue might not be a local decision.
How could you do this to me? The Pepperoni pizza of my dreams, is now ONLY in my dreams! The Olde World Style Pepperoni has been DISCONTINUED! You don't understand how magnificent the Olde World Style Pepperoni pizza is.
The Olde World Style Pepperoni pizza has crispy slices of pepperoni with a salty savory blend of spices that create a uniquely tasty pizza you won't experience in ANY of our other local pizza places. Now, you won't experience it at all.
My family's not happy. We have drastically reduced ordering pizza, now.
It's saved me a lot of money, because we don't share pizza, to each his (or her) own large pizza. I'm not kidding, either. Our order would always be 5 medium or 5 large pizzas. My son and I always got the Olde World Style Pepperoni, but the others got other ingredients. Now, I cook more, and I don't enjoy cooking. The family orders from other places now because, I don't order anything. When I was ordering, I always insisted on Cassano's.
The regular pepperoni pizza doesn't hold a candle to The Olde World Style Pepperoni, and other pizza places serve up slimy, under-cooked, greasy slices of flavorless pepperoni.
Cassano's regular pepperoni pizza is still better pepperoni pizza in my opinion, than any of our local pizza places, but I won't eat any of the other local pepperoni pizza available in town.
In fact, I quit eating meat in May. Cassano's pizza was the only cheat I allowed myself. Now, I won't be cheating as often, since The Olde World Style was addictive, but now it's unavailable. It's the difference between "I want it now!" and "Eh, I'll make something at home."
If you bring it back please...
Read moreMy husband and I were both sick so we opted for cassanos to feed the kids. We ordered 2 large pepperoni with extra sauce online. It said it would take about 40 minutes. I was so happy when they arrived about ten minutes early with our food! That excitement fades quickly when we saw the pizza. There was barely any sauce and it was overcooked. I called the call center because that was the only number I could find. The representative was super understanding and told us our food would be re made at no charge. I was super impressed and happy with this. Some time went by and we still had no new pizza so I called back. Apparently there were no notes on our remake so the new representative had to put in for it again. Our fresh pizza arrived in about 20 minutes. This time it was drenched in sauce and undercooked. I didn't even bother to call back. I was very disappointed that our money was thrown down the drain. In addition, I was disappointed because our family loves cassanos pizza. We can't afford to just give money away for products and services that are not satisfactory. Next time we order pizza we will be sure that one of cassanos competitors...
Read moreThis is the second time we have ordered from this restaurant... And honestly this second time was by accident. The first time we ordered we knew we never wanted to order again. They were both delivery. The first time we ordered we were told it would be an hour wait for delivery. Fine no big deal we ordered while they were busy. When they didn't show up after an hour and a half we had to call back. Finally the pizza gets here and it is cold and so salty that is all you could taste. This second time around my wife called and it took 5 minutes before anyone answered the phone. We were told it would be 40 minutes until delivery... No big deal. After an hour of waiting I finally called them back and complained. They took a couple bucks off the order. Then the pizza got here. It was cold and it wasn't until I ate my third slice of crappy pizza that I realized it was the same place. Again the only thing you could taste was the salt on the soggy crust and it amost had a burnt taste. I can promise I will never order cassanos again. The pizza is disgusting and I shouldn't have to call about my delivery...
