Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Trenton

I Went to this store right before closing of the inside and was told they did not have any chicken strips left when there were clearly chicken strips available in pain view.This was after waiting 10 min for the women at the front counter to take one persons order. After I proceeded to watch them serve chicken strips through the drive through. I didn’t order anything but watched as my friend waited 20 minutes for his food. They were telling me they didn’t have any so that they could use them for drive through. When I asked the employee why they served them to the customer after me but not me everyone just stared at me and said nothing. They then asked if I wanted them and I said no. This can all be seen on camera right before closing of the lobby. As a restaurant manager myself and particular a QSR manager this is probably the poorest all around service I’ve ever seen from the women at the counter to all the employees having no answer for me. I've liked Popeyes since I first found one in Biloxi, MS. Back then it was Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken and Biscuits. The menus are a little different now. And the sides are smaller and more expensive. But I suppose that's the same with many fast food chains.

They usually have early-in-the-week specials that vary from area to area.

While I'm glad there's one close I wish the service there wasn't so slow. The people who run the local franchises are such tightwads they will not put in another basket of product into the deep fryer until there's a minimum number of pieces left. This leads to long waits during lunch or dinner rush. People end up waiting five to ten minutes extra while the chicken that should have already been cooked is cooked.

I have no faith they will eventually learn how to time things better. This has been going on there since they opened; more than five years ago.

Still sometimes only Popeyes fried chicken will do. I just wait...

I was highly disappointed in the service received from Popeyes. I went on a Thursday with a coupon for this specific location from the website for $3.99 2 piece combo. Pulled up to the drive thru and notified the employee that I had a coupon and what it was for. The response "You need to come to the window and show me the coupon", okay did that mean wait behind other cars to get to the window and place my order or give my order now and then you can give me the coupon price. Needless to say I wasn't waiting in the window line to hold up the line just to order at the window so I pulled around and went in. Line only had 2 people and Popeyes didn't have enough food prepared, this trip absorbed all 30 minutes of my lunch break and I work 5 minutes down the street.
