I am absolutely stunned at these poor reviews! Hot Wok was recommended to me yesterday. I ordered on-line with free delivery as I live within their 5 mile free delivery radius. Ordered Vegetable Chop Suey, Shrimp Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken and a regular Egg Roll. It all arrived in 45 minutes and was hot. The Chop Suey was made with fresh tasting vegetables and had great flavor. The rice was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of shrimp in it. The egg roll was crispy on the outside and very fresh on the inside. Chicken had a nice golden crispy batter around white meat chicken. They sent lots of sauces and fortune cookies. With a 15% tip I paid $19. That was a very fair price seeing as this is two nights of meals for me. The only thing I was a little hurt about- you have to order and pay extra for crispy noodles for the chop suey. Only 50cent though. I would...
Read moreI am a New York transplant, I’ve lived here in NPR for 14 years now and I can be picky when it comes to Chinese food. This is the only Chinese food place I order from. The food is great and delivery is fast. Customer service is not always the greatest especially when the children take the calls but this is the spot for sure. The chicken friend rice is always really good (I always sub for it instead of pork friend rice). Combination plates are always filled up well with half rice (some places go too heavy on the rice, this place is just right) decent amount of meat too. I’ve never had a bad experience with the meats here, this is important with Chinese food. If getting delivery make sure you get your soda and any extra sauce that you pay for before the driver leaves , they have forgotten a few times but they always come back with it if...
Read moreI am new to New Port Richey and needed to find a good Chinese Restaurant. Hot Wok was located next to the Publix I shop in so I thought I would try them. It was easy to pick up my order after I picked up a few things at Publix. I ordered Garlic Shrimp with white rice and egg roll. Everything was so good. The shrimp were not overcooked, they were plump and fresh. There was a touch of sweetness to the sauce which made it better. The portion size was perfect for me. 1 complaint is I got fried rice instead of white rice but it was all so good I did not care. Egg roll was typical of what you find at other places. Bottom line try Hot Wok for yourself I...
