The Corner Club — Restaurant in Trotwood

Decided to try it after the hype about the new restaurant owner starting. Although the food was decent it was way overpriced. $52 for 6 tacos, two diet cokes and some kind of cold Mexican corn dish. We’ve been there before under the other restaurant owner and were satisfied with the food and service. This was a really bad experience. After sitting for about 15 minutes we were told we needed to order at the bar since there was no waitstaff. We had the Birria meals since we were told that was a better choice than the individually priced tacos. . Also ordered a side of fries. Got our taco “meals” and were told they were out of fries. We were told we would get a credit for the fries. Then we were told they couldn’t figure out how to give us the credit and they would give us another side. That side was a cold corn dish of some sort which was not at all tasty. While standing at the bar waiting for a take out box for the tacos we heard many others having the same issues with being either overcharged or told the restaurant was out of various items. We understand that there will be glitches while making the switch to a new cook/owner but this was totally unacceptable. Businesses need to understand that they need to be ready to go when they begin or their reputation will take a big hit. Not likely we’ll ever go back but if they’re still there in 6 months we may give it another shot. Definitely not interested in...
