Before dining here, you should ask yourself... what is your living room like? The Living Room is laid back: - You grab a seat if it's available - You flag your server down, they may or may not come to you - You take your time there, so don't expect the same hustle you'd get at your typical restaurant - It's comfy, both the atmosphere with the fireplaces and views of the slopes as well as the couches and sofas you can sprawl on - It's DOG FRIENDLY! :) - There are huge-sized appetizers It's hard to rate it as a restaurant, when it's an experience in its own class. We came here three times during our visit, and one out of those three times we had a server that was really good (true to what you'd expect from a Ritz).

Great place rode the gondola up from North Star village. Our server Max was amazing! Food was great, atmosphere amazing. Definitely good place after a long day of skiing kids loved it too. Drinks were amazing too. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off. Definitely come here and enjoy good food, drinks and atmosphere. It’s pricy but it’s the Ritz sooooooo.

Got dinner and drinks. Mixology is off the charts - compliments to the bartender. Drinks are subtle, strong, perfectly balanced. I'm blown away. Food was very fresh and tasty - overpriced because it's a hotel, but really nice ambience to be able to grab a sofa/table and get food and drinks at your own pace.

Guys we need to talk about the food and the coffee situation…. After eating at the living room over the course of several years I had to finally face and confront these issues that I keep experiencing and I think I’ve finally realized the issue. After talking it over with my partner we both come to the realization that everything on the menu is some form of gluten free or vegan unless ordering the obvious meat dish. But everything down to the easy crowd pleasers like French fries and can’t go wrong hot chocolates are not pleasers at all. The french fries and hot chocolates both have such bizarre and unpleasant flavor that we’ve had to accept and realize our defeat on the ritz food. And guys it’s a nightmare! However, if we manage to escape the nightmare and get to the village, we find refuge at the pizza place where all is well in the world. And now the coffee situation. Coffee is simply essential and in the mornings everyone needs a spiritual steaming cup but this is hard to access. Nespresso machines in the rooms do not give this and I have a machine at home but the only way I enjoy my machine at home is with milky companions fresh from the fridge but the room just gives those awful pod creamers and it just ruins the experience at a spiritual cup. But if you get coffee down at the cafe, the cost is extortion and the accessibility feels disconnected. How does anyone get from room to slopes or from room to road? Thank you,...

The space is cozy and the high ceilings add that little extra thing.

The food is pretty good. The chef has strong opinions and goes for some odd taste combinations but it is the Ritz so I get it and approve.

The service is a hot mess. The humans serving are friendly and trying their best but are overwhelmed and overrun. You enter and every 5th table isn't cleared from the last guests. You find a free table and then the lottery begins - without waving people down or waiting 25+ minutes: Will you get a menu? Will your order be taken? Will your appetizers, soup/salads and mains arrive at the correct time and not all at once? Will your water be refilled? Will the check come to you or will you need to flag someone down?

Just about all of those for our evening were "no".

I've not written a negative review before and feel a bit dirty doing it now but man, it is supposed to be the ritz, you are supposed to pay through the nose for immaculate service and experiences. If you decide to go...plan for legit 2.5 to 3.5 hours to get all the way through and for the flow of the whole thing to be disrupted at every turn, making it hard to enjoy and generally...

A great disappointment. Despite being entirely empty except for one other person, and a couple folks at the bar, my burger took 27 minutes to come.

I complained to the manager (who took a while to come) about this, and also the fact that the website was wrong. The backyard BBQ spot, which I would have preferred because it's outside and safer for COVID, was in fact open despite the website saying it's closed for the season, but it closed earlier in the afternoon before I came by. I would have come earlier if I had known.

The manager offered nothing except an apology. When pressed, she gave me a paltry 20% off -- local's discount, said the receipt.

Coffee (comped by the waitress) took an exceptionally long time to come.

I ultimately decided to take it to go. The to-go boxes took an exceptionally long time to come -- still waiting for them as I...
