Pizza On the Hill — Restaurant in Truckee

It was obviously busy during holiday season. They mentioned that one of their pizza ovens is broken, so it would take longer than an hour. So we ordered other things, chicken and fries for the kids, salad and two paninis, and salmon. Unfortunately it still took almost an hour to get our food, long time with hungry kids. While we were waiting, another waiter wanted to bring us food, which wasn't ours. And he did this 3 !!! Times. When food finally arrived, there was no silverware. After asking, we got only forks (one dish was salmon pasta). Anyway another round and we had plenty of silverware. Food was barely ok. Pizza was decent (had the pepperoni and the garlic chicken one) but the service wasn't very good. Everything took longer than it should have. Waiter brought us water, but no menus. When food came out we had to ask for plates to put it on. If they can up their service game, this place will be a lot better. The outdoor setting is fantastic for kids. Just be prepared to wait. First time there, the pizza tasted like it had been frozen. Burrito was half filled with unseasoned white minute rice. Seems to have been a change because this place was recommended to us and the food was mediocre at best. Very few choices for pizza toppings and we overheard others complaining behind us.
