El Cerrito — Restaurant in Trumann

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. Great place to practice your Spanish conversation; some of the staff is less than fluent in English. Customized orders are no problem. The delectable food is as close to authentic Mexican cuisine as "accepted" by consumers in this area. For instance, one must specify as they offer guacamole (mashed avacodo plain) or guacamole Mexicano (avacado, onion, tomato, cilantro, spices). Of all the restaurant options in Jonesboro, my family prefers to drive to Trumann to eat here. Only drawback, in the evening and sometimes during the day, the smell of Fabulouso (cleaning product) can be quite overpowering. Doesn't stop us from visiting, though. Can even get take-out!...

Yes we would agree the food is great. My only MAJOR concern is that we just moved to Trumann about 3 weeks ago and we have been eating here 3-4 maybe 5 times a week. Well about two weeks ago I got a burrito and found a bread tie in it. And then tonight my son had chicken, rice and cheese and he had a bread tie in his food. If we got two bread ties in our food just one week apart, what else is in our food?. First of all, the service was somehow extremely rushed and also inattentive? They asked us three times within the five minutes we arrived if we were ready to order. (Their menu is like 4 giant pages long, so no, we weren’t ready the second we sat down.)

Specifically asked for no cheese or sour cream, but the fajitas somehow had cheese on them when they don’t even normally contain cheese? They also didn’t bring out tortillas, had to flag someone down to get the rest of that meal.

Flavor wise, the food was fine. Definitely won’t be back though, extremely...
