El Sureño — Restaurant in Tryon

I wish I could give it zero stars. We got there at 9pm and wanted to have a relaxing dinner. I should have known the place sucked since it was Saturday night and there was only one other table in the whole restaurant. Ordered our food and I went over the ingredients with the server for what I was ordering because I don't eat cheese. Food came and I saw mine had cheese on it. Waited 10 minutes for the server or anyone to come into the room so I could send it back. She finally did and said she would remake my chalupa but then told me to eat my salad... which was on the same plate and probably had cheese on it too. Plus who the heck wants to be told to eat something by the server when it's wrong? That was a first for me. So she brings another chalupa and sets it down.. I immediately see cheese on the plate, but it's dried on like it wasn't washed from the previous user. DISGUSTING. So then what looks like the manager asks of everything is ok.. probably because I now had 2 plates of food sitting there that I hadn't touched and I looked pissed. So he comes over and I explain. He starts arguing with me. I point out the dried on cheese on the plate and how gross that was and he totally ignores me. I sit around till the person I was with was done eating. Stopped by for dinner with my family today. The server acted like we were putting her out by walking in the door. We sat outside and had to ask to order drinks and get menus. We got some queso and when she dropped it off that was the last time we saw a server. We finally tracked someone down and asked for the check to leave and get dinner elsewhere. Didn't realize until later that they charged my aunt for 2 iced teas, even though there was only one person drinking tea at our table and she didn't get a refill. When my aunt called they offered no refund, no apology. I know it's only a tea, but that along with the rudeness was the nail in the coffin. Cannot recommend this place. Napkins on the floor In many locations, silverware on the floor that wait staff just walked past. Dirty dish bins got so full the waitress was just fitting them in.
