Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Tucson

I am visiting family in Tuscon for the first time for the holiday and I went for a morning walk to see the beautiful area and I stopped at the window around noon on 12/26 and the drive thru is really busy, but I wait patiently at the walk up window. There was not even an acknowledgement that I was standing there...I continued to wait patiently as he appeared to be the only one working. I totally understand..but still no acknowledgement as he took order after order from the drive thru. I heard the people of Tuscon are kind. I am going to assume he was not having a good day. His customer service was lacking. I would have been willing to wait as long as necessary if there was an acknowledgement of me standing there. I end up leaving without coffee. I guess I will need to find...

I love black rock cafe, the people are great and the drinks are delicious. I typically frequent it on the way to work and I normally get the same thing. A sunrise fuel and a plain bagel w/ cream cheese. Today the girl was a bit hesitant when I asked for the bagel but still proceeded with the order. And I didn’t open the bagel until I got to work but they actually gave me what looks like…two sandwich buns? Definitely not a bagel (i tried to eat it but it wasn’t very good). However, I CACKLED when I saw it because it was so far from a bagel I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I do wish they would have just said they didn’t have bagels so I didn’t have to pay for this imposter lol. Come for the yummy drinks and great employees, maybe just pass on...

I order delivery since I work from home. I always have to get two drinks (both w cold foam) because inevitably they'll leave cold foam off or mess it up somehow. I understand mistakes happen,I worked in the service industry myself, but this is 100% of the time. Fortunately I'm always able to get my money back thru Uber eats, but it's a real bummer when you don't get your coffee right, you know.

Edit: Well, with some help from bribing my Uber drivers to make sure the cold foam was put on my drink they finally start putting it on, but decided to teach me a lesson by putting pieces of sponge/plastic in my drink (twice in a row so i know its intentional). You win. I'll F off and get my coffee somewhere else. Sorry...
