One word: Butter. I ingested approximately 9500 mg of sodium whilst consuming what was supposed to be the, "Big Daddy" plate. First off, I'd like to state for the record that my associate tasked with bringing the food back to our location for consumption witnessed a physical altercation resulting in two employees throwing down and brawling over a minor disagreement. Furthermore, the manager reported they weren't taking phone orders anymore past 11 o'clock that day. I'm not sure what kind of business operation this is, but I can assure you the profit margin is not high. Now back to what I was originally saying; Butter. My potatoes were doused in the same amount of liquid God used to rid the world of Sin. I feel that I was breaking out in acne immediately as though I reverted in my adolescence. What the heck man. Nah am' sayin? So all in all, the butter was wet, the employees were reenacting UFC 299 behind the grill, and my friends were not stoked after we ate what can laughingly be described...
Read moreEver since finding this great lil spot, I've been in at least once if not twice a week. The BBQ is great, just wish there was a little more consistency on the amount of meat on the sandwiches. Sometimes it's just perfect, other times wonder where the rest went but the brisket is a fave and very tasty. My only other complaint would be...I'm a sucker for a great French fry and BD's had some of the best IMO until last week when they changed all of a sudden and to be honest, after having those new fries, I won't be ordering them again as my side. They had some amazing fresh cut thick fries that were well worth the 10 min wait to get em...hot, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, rivaled the brisket...the new ones, not even close. Hope they go back to the old ones soon 🙏
UPDATE - those fresh fries are back! Also, that big brisket sandwich was on point yesterday! Great flavor, tender and not a dried out bit of meat to be found anywhere. This family knows their stuff when it...
Read moreOur work team has been scouring the area for the best bbq near downtown Tulsa and came across Big Daddys BBQ. Unfortunately the only thing big was our disappointment in the amount of food we received. 😕 A 4oz serving size is a bit on the low end when it comes to bbq. Added photo for reference. Compared to other bbq restaurants, the portion of food for the cost wasn't there during our visit. So, the search continues...
Edited for clarification: The price is about average($13-18 for bbq plate), the portion of food received was subpar for the given price range. Reading other reviews and seeing online photos for Big Daddy's, we initially considered it may have just been several lite serving received during our teams visit. After a quick phone call verified with restaurant staff, portion size is only 4 ounces. That being said, they have some really good reviews on...
