Went here later (8:30pm) on Saturday night with seven people, it was GREAT! All the staff that we met there were friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food was really really good (and we can be picky). Our group ate such a variety of their DELICIOUS food. Everyone enjoyed every thing we had. We had two appetizers. The crab dip with three colored nacho chips and the fried copper cheese served with vodka sauce. Both were wonderful! The chicken wing pizza was excellent!~spicy, real blue cheese chucks and the most amazing crust. So tasty. My son had sea bass that was so enjoyable. Daughter had salmon with a beautiful presentation and very good. Our other son had a buffalo chicken sandwich that he said was delicious! Mac and cheese with brisket also amazing! Husband (the pickiest of our group) had a “Smashed” cheese burger (he is very very fussy about these) and loved it with the fresh cut fries! I had Caesar salad with grilled chicken and really liked that as well. We only had sodas for drinks and they were only so so, but ALL the food was REALLY GOOD!!!!! and presented so nicely, which is so hard to find. It is lovely to have a new place with good food that is close by. We will be going back very soon. *Also the interior is comfortable and...
Read moreWe were excited to learn of a new brunch place, but were very disappointed. "Omelet guy" was sweet and did great, and staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, that's where the positive stops. Potatoes were hard and dry, haddock and chicken both overcooked and dry, marinara sauce on pasta offering was very acidic and tasteless, sausage and bacon were good but very greasy (maybe some bread on the bottom to soak up the grease?), muffins and one pastry offering were fine. Tried to toast a bagel, but toaster needs replacing. Most offputting were how many young children were running amok and helping themselves unsupervised to the buffet, touching EVERYTHING, and literally running back and forth multiple times! One child on his tippy toes wasn't tall enough to even see what was in the server and was slopping food all over while trying to serve himself. The dining toom itself was fine, but it felt like a McDonalds atmosphere and not very appealing. The entire experience was disappointing and definitely not worth 20$ per person. I realize there are growing pains, but sorry to say we won't be back unless we hear things...
Read moreThoroughly impressed! The food was great, the drinks were excellent, and the service was incredible! I will DEFINITELY be a frequent customer of this small town hidden gem!
While we were eating I noticed a young man running around the restaurant bussing tables, running food, making drinks, and answering phones. Basically a jack of all trades! As a business owner myself, I recognized that he was a very valuable asset to The Players Pub and I made a smartass comment to the server about how someday he was going to own the place! Well it turns out that he owns the place! What a hard working dude! It’s no wonder the Restaurant runs so well!
After dinner we decided to have a drink at the bar. Shout out to our awesome bartender Shannon! The drinks were incredible and she had an excellent personality to boot! What a fun place!
I would HIGHLY recommend the smash burger. 2 perfectly cooked, juicy, well seasoned, hand made patties, Hot melty cheese, pillowy soft bun, fresh veggies, and a very tasty sauce. You just can’t miss with such high quality...
