King Chicken Fillin' Station — Restaurant in Tupelo

So delicious. Was so excited when I opened the takeout container and saw the food looked even better than the photos which don't do it justice. We were already driving away but it took everything in me not to go back and order everything else on the menu. I got the Snack Pack and have to say it came with the two biggest chicken tenders I've ever had! The Jo Jo's are deliciously seasoned potato wedges. The honey mustard sauce was perfect but honestly I almost enjoyed eating everything without it so I could just enjoy the seasoning of the food itself. I think it was the juiciest chicken I ever had. I wanted to eat all the last little scraps off the paper. Still drooling thinking about it. I ate it so fast because we'd been driving for hours and immediately regretted not savoring it more slowly. If I could go back I'd order even more food and enjoy it properly, at a picnic table, with my shoes off and feet in some grass, rather than in the front seat of my car with my dog trying to steal it 😂 (Oh and I have to mention, aside from the food, the staff was so friendly and the food came out quickly. 5 stars...

Divine intervention brought me here! A massive lightning bolt and a crazy downpour forced me to pull over in Tupelo, MS. This very tiny restaurant is quite deceiving , because it’s BIG in flavor and love! The beautiful team of Miss Patricia ,Bernice, and Dinah put so much pride and effort into everything they make here. It definitely is a must visit! I ordered the half bird which consisted of a thigh, breast, wing, and drumstick! My sides were the fried okra and baked beans! My beverage was a nice lemonade that paired perfectly with my meal! The fried chicken was crispy outside and very tender and moist inside! Make sure to compliment your meal with their homemade hot sauce!!!!The fried okra and baked beans were amazing! After seeing it mentioned in an article in Forbes and my husband hearing good things at work, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately the experience let us down. When we entered the building it was filled with smoke and we all left smelling like burnt chicken grease. Everything we ordered was overcooked and cold. I got the smoked chicken sandwich. The chicken was cold and tough and didn't have a smoked flavor. The slaw had completely soaked through the bun, turning it to mush. The potato wedges were cold and stale and the "Mac and cheese" seemed to be more of a cold macaroni salad with dressing because there was no cheese to be found.
