Hotel Turkey Restaurant — Restaurant in Turkey

BAD TASTE!!! Five of us drove an hour to have a nice dinner at the HT restaurant Saturday night 8/19, ONLY TO FIND OUT they would not let us have dinner if we didn’t pay $30 extra, PER PERSON, to listen to the music!!! We told them we would eat and leave, that we only came for the food, and they said we would still have to pay $30!!! We were there at 5 o’clock and the music didn’t even start until 6 o’clock. We could’ve eaten and left and they still wouldn’t let us!!! We WERE NOT about to pay $125 EXTRA to just have dinner!!! The food is good, but NOT THAT GOOD! DO BETTER...

We lucked out hitting Hotel Turkey on the second Sunday of the month. Best BBQ we have had in quite a while. Stopped in for lunch on our way home from Cap Rock Canyons SP and riding to Clarity Tunnel. I had brisket and smoked turkey. Excellent! The Horseradish Purple Potato Salad was refreshing. The garnishings are all made in house including hot pickles and corn relish. The live music was provided by Bubba Bellin and his trio. Great Texas outdoor dining venue. Looking for an excuse to go back....wait the BBQ...

Love the hotel and live music at the Turkey Hotel. The food is another story. They have a limited menu and specials each night of the week. Thursday was Chili Relleno. The chili was fried and stuffed with ground beef and some type of sauce. Served on a plate refried beans and rice covered in queso cheese. It was terrible. Just one big pile of mush. Even the smothered fries were undercooked and soggy. Enjoy a drink at the bar and music but...
