Mi Veracruz Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Tuscola

I grew up here, and this is NOT the midwest hospitality, nor authentic like food that represents my heritage. The tacos are served with cheap lettuce and cheese, not cilantro and onions. And im not sure how, but my grilled chicken came out cold. Instead of correcting it, the very rude waitress caught an attitude, and told me it was freshly cooked and was fine, while holding the piece of cold chicken that came off my plate, less than 30 seconds after i got my plate. After getting an attitude, and then brashly offering to remake my plate(didnt feel safe allowing my plate out of sight again) I refused to have it remade and asked for the check, which she then charges us 30 dollars for 7 tacos 1 tea and rice and beans. I grab a menu, and see that she has OVERCHARGED us for both of our meals and is now ignoring me and pleading for forgiveness, from my friend that hasnt said a word at all, yet ignored me and acted as if i was invisible at this point.

I dont see how they have good reviews on here, not with the lack of compassion nor attentiveness that it takes to run a restaurant. Never again will i come here. El taco tako in arcola or the one by the county sheriff will be my go to from now on, Mi Veracruz is a disgrace to our food and...

As soon as my wife and I step through the door, not very welcoming,we was asked how many with us. The waiter just seemed very upset that we even bothered to come there to eat and bother him since there was only one other couple in the dinning area. We was seated and the menus thrown down. 15 minutes go by and the same waiter came back and asked, rudely again, what we wanted. We placed order and when it came the waiter just basically slammed our plates down and walked off. The food lacked taste but wasn't dry just sitting in a puddle of grease. Short dark haired waitress that lives in town right next to my best friends mom is RUDE and not welcoming!!! We ordered some bean dip one time and it came out after our food and we were not super happy about it, came out and my bf said we were not paying for it, she grabbed it up and threw the glass plate into the bus tub with us viewing the while temper tantrum she was throwing!!!! It was embarrassing! And she is sooooooooo rude to us every time we come in….we HATE going in there anymore because we don’t know how we will be treated!?
