Huddle House — Restaurant in Tye

I went with my fiace for the first time on a Saturday morning. Probably around 10 am . It was mediocre at best. He loves the place, but maybe I was just there on a off morning. We sat at the front bar area, and it maybe only took us about 10 minutes to order our food . I got a basic plate with scrambled eggs, bisquit , hash and bacon. It was good, but it took about 45 minutes to get our food out. Our server mentioned there were a lot of to go orders and to go delivery orders that morning. People came in after us who sat at the bar too whose food was out within 15 minutes. I guess i can't fault them for that, but then again I can because it's not like they have never been in the same situation. That is way to long for food, especially breakfast for people there waiting. I got this peach tea that I didn't really drink much of because they charge for refills, and it was in a small cup and warm at the bottom and cold at the top with the melting ice. Honestly it was a 15 minute drive out there for nothing. I may give another chance, but the food wasn't that great. Nothing I can't make myself or get at Ihop or Dennys or even Cracker...

Very basic food. The place was completely empty at 3pm except us and 5 employees. You would think everything would be in order with the empty dinning room and abundant staff, sadly we were mistaken. Our waitress came to our table leaned against the bench and started massaging her ankles which was weird to see her rubbing all over herself before serving our food. We tried to brush it off and eat and get back on the road but the food took forever. When we got the syrup for our waffles and pancakes it had the consistency of water which I didn’t notice until it splashed onto my kids waffle along with water that poured out from under the cap of the dispenser. It seems as if the put the full syrup dispensers in the dishwasher and wipe them down and put them on tables because there was a bunch of stringy scraggly fibers coming off of the spout, it was a mess. I requested a different syrup and it wasn’t much better. My husband ordered a hash brown plate and when we got his plate it had 4 sandwich cheese slices on top, it looked plastic and unattractive. We didn’t finish our food and left unsatisfied and questioning what this world...

The food was awsome!! The service was good until i went to pay the tab.i left a tip on the table and decided to pay with my card so i handed the server my card she swiped it. I extended my hand to recieve it back, she bypassed my hand an put it on the counter,you see where im from this is considered very disrespectful.if cashier's,waitresses,anyone who deals with the general public whom has to deal with any type of item requiring exchange of hands and are afraid of possibly making hand contact,WEAR LITTLE PLASTIC GLOVES.people who has this type of mental sickness aren't smart enought to know their still making hand contact when their handling money or a card from someone else hands ESPECIALLY MONEY!! My thing is WEAR GLOVES OR FIND ANOTHER GIG THAT DOSENT CONSIST OF POSSIBLE HAND CONTACT.
