I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was genuinely excited to try it outâbut overall, the experience was pretty underwhelming, especially considering the prices.
The Summit Nachos were just okayânot bad, but not memorable. The Signature Mac and Cheese was bland and uninspired. The noodles had an odd texture that made my teeth stick together, and I had to add Summit Sauce just to give it any flavor. It honestly reminded me of the government mac and cheese I ate as a kidâthe kind you had to put ketchup on just to make edible.
The Louisiana Pot Roast was another letdown. It was fine, but forgettable. The mashed potatoes were the standout part of that dishâcreamy, well-seasoned, and actually delicious. The French fries were also excellentâcrispy, golden, and well-seasoned. Honestly, the potatoes were the best part of the entire meal. If the restaurant focused more on that strength, theyâd have something truly special.
The beer cheese and pretzel bites were a winâwarm, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the entree's
The atmosphere was decent, and our waitress was pleasant, which helped improve the experience a bit.
However, the prices were extremely high for the quality of the food. When youâre paying that much, you expect meals that taste as good as they sound on the menuâand unfortunately, most of the dishes fell flat.
In short, the service and some of the sides were great, but the main dishes didnât live up to the hype or the cost. This place has potential, especially if they double down on their potato dishes and work on boosting flavor in the rest...
Read moreWhere to start? The service, It was excellent and our server did what she was allowed to do and was polite and courteous. The beer, It was excellent and the choices are good! I love Blondes! So my Beer was excellent! The food. The food is a different thing all together. The wife got a salad that was supposed to have avocado, Bacon , Egg and other fixings that are supposed to compliment the lettuce. Unfortunately, the fixings were diced so small they were almost not able to be tasted! Not enough and it ruined the salad. My Big $22 dollar plate with wings and pulled pork, sausage, and 2 ribs and something they called Brisket. The Chicken wings were pathetic and overcooked ! They were incredibly small. The sausage was over cooked and dry. The Ribs were over cooked and dry. The pulled Pork! Was the star of this meal! It was actually pretty good! The cornbread was awesome! And the side of beans I ordered were excellent! Lastly the was the Brisket or what they called Brisket! It was stiff! Over cooked and it looked gray in color! I would be embarrassed to offer that as a prime cut. I have had Brisket all over Texas! This brisket should have been tossed .
The manager was short in dealing with me and when my Server came back she did give us a bottle of sauce that my son fell in love with and told me they comped my meal. They gave me a discount of $2.20 The total price of my meal was close to $100
Over all I am very dissatisfied and will never go back. I heard there is a little BBQ joint down the road that is 100% better. I will go...
Read moreIf you are reading this review for the brewery - Stop now. It is not a review of the brewery. I'm only providing a review of the dining/food/restaurant. If you are still with me then you must be interested in my dining experience which was, in a nutshell, horrible. I have to say the service was good. The waitress was attentive, efficient and pleasent. The food, however, was a different story. Our first red flag was they were out of the wagyu steak. This was the whole reason we drove an hour in the first place. But we stayed anyway and boy did we pay a hefty price (literally). Nothing was hot, warm at best. By wife's chicken was over-smoked to a point that it was very dry, my steak was raw after I ordered it med rare. (If you do go, calibrate your wellness scale 1 level towards done - I warned you). I had to return the steak to get it cooked a bit more. Sides are a-la-carte like a Chicago steakhouse, expensive and should be included in the meal at the prices they are charging. (Don't believe me? Go check out the prices at the other big steakhouse from Texas and then stay there for dinner). Not only was the steak raw, it had no taste and was tough. Corn bread was dry. Anyway I think you get the picture. Here are the 1-5 scales. Service 4, food 1, value 1 and overall dining experience 2. Would I recommend this place to a friend? Not if...
