Dairy Mart — Restaurant in Union City

I love some old fashioned diners. Especially ones who are private owned and not owned by mega corporations. We love to support local businesses. But the regular cheeseburger fell flat. I’m not sure what the hype is about. The burger has 0 flavor. The patty seems frozen and had no seasonings on it at all. I had more flavor from the onions than anything else. The mayo is that sweet mayo you’d get from school cafeterias in packages. It was a flop for me. My husband loved their shakes and said their burgers are better than McDonalds. I paid $21.16 for a burger 11 cheese tator tots and a milkshake. What a complete let down. The burger was a frozen patty with zero seasoning, I ordered a large cheese tot and was literally served ELEVEN tots with a tiny bit of shredded cheese that was melted in the microwave. The ice cream wasn’t even edible. It was that frozen machine kind like at a Golden Corral. I called it in at 11:42 so it would be ready when I got there since I was 15 minutes away. This is a small town burger place. Like when you were growing up. Burger and fries or onion rings. Ice-cream, floats, shake or malt, mixes or sunday 🤔 makes for a fun filled day. No frills.
