I am 47 years old and I've been eating Giovanni's food since I was old enough to sit up and eat solids. The last week when I had ordered two large baked spaghetti's for myself and my youngest brother and both pizzas had very little bit of cheese it was like they cut a thin slice of mozzarella cheese I am slapped it on the big spaghetti. They did not shred the cheese and put on top like they have done every since I can't member eating baked spaghetti at Giovanni's. Plus with the garlic bread was not even the even amount of garlic bread. There's supposed be six slices in one order of garlic bread. My brother got six slices, I only got five. That's not a big deal of it if someone's that hungry in the back OK you can have my food but don't charge me an arm and a leg for eating my food. Of course the health department have a totally different issue with that because you're not supposed to eat around the food because of hygiene issues. When I was thinking about ordering pasta this evening. I call Giovanni's and ask them is that how they're going to make their baked spaghetti for now on. This smart Alec kid was on the phone told me that's how they've made this big spaghetti. I told him no I've been eating Giovanni's food for all my life and I'm 47 years old. Cheese is always graded on top of the bake spaghetti that's how you get an even amount of cheese on it. Doing the way that he admitted that he did it changes the entire food altogether. Nobody does it that way! The kid it said will that's how I was taught. I said OK I will go elsewhere and order food tonight. I didn't even address the garlic bread issue. I figure someone will then should I call the health department on that, because of the fact that it's clearly obvious that people are eating while they're preparing food and that's just nasty. Lester washing their hands otherwise! Still though nobody is going to think that! A friend of mine he's has been used to work for the Giovanni's in Chesapeake. Said that one of the owners name Ray was probably trying to cut back on food cost. He probably thought that the price of shredded mozzarella is gone up so he's making this poor kid sliced very thin mozzarella and thinking that it's going to save money. I said it's not going to save money people are just going to get frustrated because why pay more for food when they're not getting what they recently paid for. If anything people are just going to take their business down the road which like I did I took my business to Pizza Hut and the mount say my money I would've paid Giovanni's I've order Pizza Hut tonight! Plus not to mention the fact putting this one thin slice of cheese on a large baked spaghetti doesn't cover the entire bake spaghetti. If you put more than one slice of cheese you know connecting to each other would be fine perhaps. That's how Olive Garden does it. But again cording to people who are no the Italian food industry . They say the all of garden is not real Italian food it's only 10% Italian food. Giovanni's pizza is supposed to be 100% Italian food. And if they really wanted to save money then by the block mozzarella cheese and shred the Montreal cheese yourself either with the cheese shredder or use a food processor that's what people do at home...
Read moreI live 7 mins away, the Huntington area Giovanni’s burned down. I tried to order at this location since it’s the closest. the employees are always rude! I placed my order gave my card information just to get a call back by a loud mouth lady yelling at me about how they do not cross the bridge. However a few months back they delivered here. I tried one time prior to this and heard the employees joking laughing until 9pm then hung up on me then when I called back the same loud mouth lady said they would never do this sorry hun we can’t deliver and hung up on me! Whoever this manager is needs to leave her trailor life behind and please be professional at work! I have to order Papa Johns every time this happens and they will cross the bridge. I love Giovanni’s just feel like they need to get that lazy...
Read moreI have ordered from this location for years and never had a bad experience until this evening. I ordered a pizza, extra large with pepperoni and extra cheese. I get the pizza home and realized it’s literally burnt. So I decided I’d make a TV dinner, call them and let them know what happened because I worked a 16 hour shift today and the last thing I wanted to do was go back out.
The manager, (I think her name was Tasha?) said per their next policy that there is nothing that they can do as far as replacing it or giving a credit toward a future purchase unless I brought the pizza back to them tonight. I offered to send photos she said that would not work. Anyway, I’m not one to write bad reviews but I’ll never spend my hard earned money here again.
Trying to add a photo but not...
