Titlow Tavern & Grille — Restaurant in Uniontown

Service is awful but the food is decent (sometimes)! I’ve been here about 10-15 times the last year alone and have experienced this almost every time so felt the need to write something finally. When you walk into the establishment you feel uncomfortable because nobody acknowledges you to seat you & you stand there in the way but workers at the bar glare at you like you’re doing something wrong trying to support their business. The restaurant can be empty and they will close in 1-2 hours but only seat you at a high top. Pizza is good if you order in but if you order take out enjoy your soggy cold pizza. Steak special was $30 a was the size of my 5 year olds fist. I don’t mind paying $30-$40 a meal if it’s worth it but this food and service isn’t. Waited once at the pick up window for 20 mins rang the bell multiple times & workers looked at me but never acknowledged me. I know workers are hard to come by but maybe training for customer service and having a host would help boost business. I won’t be returning...

Earlier this spring, a friend and I met here for dinner, sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious cocktails and pasta. Truly, the food was good.

But there was an unhinged male patron (I know his first name and now I guess he knows mine) who harassed us full stop, unable to read social cues and body language. We were deeply uncomfortable and tried to flag down some help. He even became threatening when he noticed our discomfort, mocking us and laughing like he could tell he wanted us to leave. The only way we were able to get the bartender’s attention was with a small tip; this man insisted on buying our meal but said he “couldn’t read the bill without his glasses,” asking my friend to tip and sign for him. She left a couple bucks for a pricey tab and within minutes, the bartender was back. The man left in haste and angry, we finally shared with the bartender what was going on and she was like “dang didn’t notice”. This review only pertains to the online ordering options that are shown on Google for Titlow Tavern, which leads you to Grubhub. I saw these options and placed a takeout order which showed as "Being Prepared" in the Grubhub order tracker with a 45-55 minute wait time, and so I went to the Titlow and waited 5 minutes beyond that time, and after never receiving an order ready confirmation, I decided to ask their staff about my order and I was told they haven't done Grubhub in years. The employee that I spoke to did say she was sorry, which was nice of her as I don't blame her in any way, but why can't the Titlow Tavern get taken off of Grubhub if they no longer do Grubhub orders? Is it really that difficult or haven't they put in any effort at all? I was finally able to get my order refunded after contacting Grubhub support and spent 15 minutes chatting with them online and explaining this whole situation, but yet the Uniontown Titlow Tavern still remains listed as place that you can still order food...
