I stopped by this restaurant on my way from Trunk Bay Beach because a guy at a gas station referred me. At about 7:55pm I parked across the street from the establishment and walked towards the location, which had good music playing. Once there i looked at the menu placed on the wall and tried to figure out if it was still serving food but couldnt tell since no one was behind the counter. A man sitting on a high chair told me that they still were taking orders and pointed to two Hispanic females and said ,"they work here and will take your order",. One of the Hispanic females passed me by and I called her ,' M'am, Hello,". She turned around and said oh no im not taking your order (in an annoyed manner) and turner back around. I was a bit taken aback because she clearly didn't want to take my order. I would not recommend any of my friends or family here. No thank you. Management needs to train her in customer service. Another restaurant can earn my money.

We were clearly the only new people there, all the locals know that this is the place to go for good food. You walk up, go to the large whiteboard with the menu, place your order, choose a place to sit down. We got curry, chicken, shrimp as entrées. For sides, we got rice, red beans, scalloped potatoes, mac & cheese, salad. The juice was also delicious! They ran out of passionfruit juice so I got tamarind. It was amazing! There’s also a full bar for drinks.

We had a wonderful meal at Heading East ! I had the sautéed shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the fresh caught fish of the day and said it was delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the best meals we have had on St John. Will definitely return on our next visit .

What a great find. Had sunset cocktails at a nearby spot, but food is average at best. Was going to go to a more touristy spot across the street, but read the reviews about this spot. At first glance, and being a tourist, wasn’t sure. Small counter seating, ample picnic tables under tents outside. Jenny immediately met us at the menu board and helped us place the order. Sauté shrimp, stewed chicken and fresh pan fired fish of the day for my group. Mains were exceptionally good and authentic to the region. Sides were coleslaw- good, vegetables- very good, seasoned rice and fried plantains- both exceptional. This looks like a very popular spot for the locals and for us tourists lucky enough to pull in and try it. Jenny said her favorite is the oxtail, the at will be ordered next time. After eating at some excellent restaurants in Cruz Bay with elevated menus and prices. This is a no nonsense, no frills gem of a spot. This is added to my must go to spots for...

We saw great reviews for heading east so we decided to check it out. The food is good but they were having some ordering issues. We placed our order and waited over an hour before asking someone about our food. Not sure what happened as it was busy but they seemed like they lost our order. The did apologize and offered to buy us a drink but by 1.5 hours of waiting we just wanted to eat and go home. They finally brought us our food and we didn’t check but we were missing the Mac n cheese we ordered and another side of plantains. We were not sure if they ran out and gave us extra of another side or what. We would try them again but not for a bit...
