In the past year, unfortunately Raising Canes quality has dropped drastically. The chicken tenders are smaller and the french fries are thinner. So frequently the chicken is only luke warm or the fries I ordered crispy taste like dirty oil.
Attention Raising Canes: please fix what is seriously headed in the wrong direction...food quality!! The stores that I frequent....Foothill Blvd in UPLAND CA; Peoria Blvd in Phoenix AZ; E Bell St in Glendale, AZ; Sawmill Rd in Columbus OH; West Broad Street in Lincoln Village. Each of these stores has served me good quality food at least once but more accurately would be only once. Raising Canes intercept this play and get your business back on track. You are the saving grace. Well you and Raising Canes I....another excellent idea was putting his floppy eared portrait on the exterior wall of the stores. The store on Peoria in Arizona is so out of reach of quality chicken tenders because they use their fryer oil until it completely destroys the quality of the chicken. When I pull up at the 2nd drive thru window the stink of burnt fryer oil permeates the building and out to my car. That smell is a surefire guarantee that my chicken quality will be well below the standard. Im sure that some locations are franchises. If this is the case then ..... a better interview process/standard should be created. Many stores are not cutting the mustard and most of them DONT CARE!! The Columbus Market serves the best quality in my opinion. Next is California and bringing up the lowest standard of customer service and quality food is the Phoenix market. There are issues with my food everytime. The ball is in your court and hands Raising...
Read moreSo I've been to this location once before, when it first opened. Wasn't impressed by the food back then but decided to give them a second chance the other day. I ordered the 3 piece strip meal that came with fries, a slice of bread and a drink.
Pros: the bread was good this time, the chicken wasn't dry, compared to my first experience, and they have nugget ice. And my order was completed quickly and was warm. I chose order and eat inside. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean, as was the women's bathroom.
Cons: the Cane's sauce to me just taste like ketchup and ranch mixed together with a extra heap of pepper. I wasn't impressed by it. And crinkle fries. shudders The worst fries one could serve. If I want crinkle fries I'd make them at home and have them same result. But I don't like crinkle fries and didn't know that's what came with the meal until I picked it up at the counter.
Would I go back? Maybe for the chicken and bread, hold the sauce and fries. (And the ice. Nugget ice is the best ice.) Would I rather go to another chicken only joint in town that has cows promoting their food? Yes, they've got the nugget ice, I like their fries, chicken strips are comparable Cane's and their combo just happens to be like 10 cents cheaper. Plus they have an array of sauces...
Read moreI NEVER give 5-star reviews because in LA I have never once encountered a restaurant/service that excels in every single area and gets everything absolutely perfect. Most of the times quite the opposite as most southern California employees are very entitled and do not appreciate their jobs but feel it's owed to them. They have horrible attitudes and would rather be somewhere else, this results in disrespectful employees that could care less about the service being paid for by the customers. However this Raising Canes did every single thing perfect. The drive-through employees were not rude but were also not fake sickening-sweet, they were genuinely nice people who cared about the customers order and getting the order right. The food was flawless! Chicken tenders were crispy and cooked all the way through which is rare as 98% of fast food around here is soggy from under-cooking as employees take out food too early just to get it out the window quicker. Fries were cooked perfectly. Slaw was fresh and the garlic bread was absolute perfection. These things may not sound like a big deal but around this area, getting everything right is a rare gem and one I greatly appreciate. Keep up the great work Raising Canes...
