I have pondered this review for days. Considering three meals in the restaurant and one to go has led to this review. First visit was in restaurant during lunch . I ordered the Balboa sandwich which was identified as a beef sandwich in a garlic roll. It came plain, so I ordered some au jus to dip it in. It has plenty of beef in it but it had very little flavor. The au jus had little flavor as well. It could be better with some horseradish mayo and or some lettuce. The fries accompanying the sandwich were pretty good. The next visit in restaurant was breakfast and I ordered the biscuits and gravy with hash brown potatoes. The biscuits were not homemade biscuits and the gravy was quite watery. The hash brown potatoes were overcooked. The next order was to go and it was for two fish plates. One fish was fried and the other was broiled. Both were average for a diner. The next, which actually was the biggest disappointment , was my order of the ribeye steak. The order came with a salad and the salad was crisp and fresh. The steak came and it looked ok at first glance but it was quite thin. Upon trying to cut and eat it I was faced with a tough steak containing much connective tissue or gristle. I made my concerns known to the waitress and was offered something else which due to the previous experiences I declined. She asked if I wanted the baked potatoes I chose for my sides and I said yes. She brought the bill and had removed the steak , however, I was charged for two potatoes and a salad which left the value of the steak at $6. When paying my check I again informed the cashier of my dissatisfied visit. I paid the amount requested and departed the restaurant. Unfortunately this would not be a recommended eatery. The decor is great if you know who James Stewart, Elizabeth Taylor and John Wayne were. It is a little over decorated for the season. Hope this helps .

Great food! Ordered my eggs over medium and they were perfect -- one of the few diners that knows how to cook an over-medium egg. Pancakes were fluffy but this place uses the fake, restuarant-grade maple syrup which really takes away from the taste of the pancake (come on guys, charge a little extra and buy the real stuff). The potatoes were good, but nothing special -- they could really have used some seasoning. Finally, this place needs a signature breakfast dish or a side (something like the area's best biscuits or something like that). Other than that, great service and tasty food!

This place exactly what you think of when you think diner. We ordered the monte cristo and philly cheesesteak. Both were very tasty. The fries were very nondescript but I didn't expect much. So many choices and they serve breakfast all day. We didn't try the desserts but there were a lot to choose from. Service was fast and food came quickly despite the fact that they were packed. There were a few groups waiting for larger tables but we were seated immediately. Definitely a place to check out and don't forget to check out the decor. They had some very funny signs posted.

UPDATE. I regret to say after going a few times again, I've been severely let down. Both times I went back. Breakfast was mediocre, service was bad, the guy didn't write anything down and most of it came out wrong. Like I asked for lightly cooked home fries and they were dark, crispy, uneatable home fries. Asked for cheese on my eggs, didn't get it. Asked for crispy bacon, it was very soft. This shows the importance of a server to write it down and put it in your computer as the customer says it, not as you try to remember it. I raved about this place to the person I brought there for breakfast and it was so bad. I felt bad for my friend who seemed totally let down.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to breakfast! This place was like I cooked and they cleaned!! Service is hit & miss though. Sometimes you wait a while for drinks to be refilled & plates picked up but all in all pretty satisfied...

This was our first visit to Brothers in years. We had a friendly and efficient waitress. The atmosphere was very quiet despite it was during Friday evening dinner. The decor is bit boring. Seating is comfortable consisting primarily of booths. I had a turkey bacon club sandwich. There was an adequate amount of both turkey and bacon. It would have been better with a larger size bread. My wife had a chicken salad club sandwich which she enjoyed. Our French fries were very good. They came to the table warm. They thankfully didn't come with any seasonings. The only negative was my French onion soup. It was not definitely not French onion. The onions were not caramelized. The broth flavorless. The onions were still a bit crunchy. The waitress did remove it from our tab. Handicapped parking was not convenient to the entrance. It's worth another visit to check out a few more...
