We have been here about 10 times since they opened and always enjoyed our ice cream. Today was our last time. First, I ordered my ice cream in a waffle bowl. When they handed it to me it was in a regular bowl. I politely reminded the employee that I ordered the waffle bowl. Then I watched as she held the cup of ice cream IN THE GARBAGE CAN where she scraped off the whipped cream and toppings and then proceeded to dump the remaining ice cream (which had just been held in the trash can) into a waffle bowl and hand it to me. Second, they charged me a surcharge for using a debit card. While merchants can charge a surcharge on a credit card, they cannot charge a surcharge on a debit card (violation of the Durbin Act). I politely tried to tell the young man working there this because I knew the location was a new business and didn't want them to get fined. He laughed in my face. So, yeah. We went here for the first time on a mom/daughter date. What a cute place. We sat under the covered roof on a bench with the market (bistro/cafe) lights strung above us eating our delicious ice cream. I had a scoop of the cantaloupe ice cream (no food coloring-colored naturally with paprika) and a scoop of dairy free coconut ice cream on a waffle cone & my daughter had a scoop of fat elvis (banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate) in a dish. The ice cream was light, fluffy (airy), and extremely tasty!! The staff was fantastic. The girl that waited on us tonight was so friendly & helpful and the guy who dipped our ice cream was equally nice. Prices were reasonable & the scoops were a hearty amount. There ice cream is the best I have had in a long time. And better yet it's all homemade ice cream. We have had the laffy taffy banana, teaberry, blue raspberry, ube brownie and a peanut butter milkshake and they were all delicious. We even bought a pint of butter pecan for our neighbors and they said it was the BEST they have ever had. All the workers are very nice and they are quick to take your order and get your ice cream out to you. There was a little mix up with our order and they were quick to fix it and take care of it. Thats to be expected when its only the 2nd day opened until all the kinks getbworked out. This will be our new go to place for ice cream. Can't wait to go back and try new flavors. BEST ICE CREAM...
