Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg — Attraction in Upper Allen Township

A close friend of mine was in the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde production. I had never heard of the Little Theater - it really is very small, with five rows of old theater seats - but the close atmosphere makes the acting so personal and powerful. When one young lady had to perform a lengthy scream in one scene, the hair stood up on the back of my neck; I never felt a reaction like that while watching a movie. We took pur 6yr. Old to see 'twas the night before Christmas. It was a cute, easy to follow plot for kiddos. There was a bit of over the top comedy, and some rapping, singing and small dance numbers. The theater seats about 60, and the show was almost sold out! The theater is run entirely on donations and volunteer work. I qould love to have my little guy check out his theater skills here. My family and I went to the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg to see, Lost In Yonkers. Purchasing tickets was very easy on the website. We arrived and were greeted by an attendant who showed us to our seats. The theatre is just as stated. It is a very small and intimate but was an amazing experience.
