Great beer garden, very friendly staff, awesome beer!! Been coming here a lot lately and beer is always good. Bees knees is my favorite. Great beer selection! Sometimes they have food trucks, kith and kin’s fries are amazing! Ive had wings from joey d’s and they were great too. Owners/staff are very personable and service is great. I’m so glad we finally have a good beer garden in the area!!

Pretty cool place. Very good selection of brews, lots of variety. Came out early on a quiet Friday night, still pretty busy. I had the Captain Hook, Winter's Welcome, Leann Rue, and the Lumberjack. All four were delicious, the Lumberjack stood out, very unique flavor. Nice ambiance, a little on the loud side but not overwhelming. Will definitely be back.

I always, always have a great time at Rushford & Sons. The people are friendly, kind, and very welcoming—you’ll feel right at home, no matter who you are or where you come from (unless you’re a bigot or a homophobe—then you should probably just stay home.) Their craft beer is great too!

You certainly may. We recently moved to Upton and have been looking forward to trying this place. A brewery in walking distance! To say it was a letdown is a vast understatement. I want to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt, but our experience was so overwhelmingly negative that I feel compelled to warn others.

Even though it wasn't particularly busy, we waited an excruciatingly long time to be acknowledged by our bartender (who was already quite visibly intoxicated), and who seemed more interested in chatting up her regulars at the opposite end of the bar. So unless you're a familiar face, don't count on quick or friendly service.

Still, we tried quite a few things. The beer menu, while extensive, fell quite short. The flights we ordered left much to be desired... most of the beers were flat and flavorless. The seltzer had a revolting smell. A couple were so dreadful I spit it out immediately. I'm not exagerating, it tasted like vomit. It takes a lot for me to complain, but this was really bad and I very politely brought all this up to our bartender. Her response? "Then don't drink it. No one's forcing you to drink it." And to be fair, she was totally right! Shame on me for expecting halfway friendly service? It may not seem like much, but we felt pretty disrespected and humiliated.

Initially inviting, the atmosphere soured more and more as we started to notice how sticky the floors were, how dirty the glassware was, the mold growing on the taps, the flies flying into our drinks, and the disgusting bathrooms.

I don't mean to be rude or difficult, I am just relaying my personal experience. I truly do not understand all the positive reviews. While the potential for improvement exists, our visit was a stark reminder of their current shortcomings. Please try to do better!

Edit: add to that list of shortcomings: their passive-aggressive response...

I was surprised and skeptical to hear there was a brewery in Upton. A friend recommended I go there and now I can't say enough good things about this place. Went there a couple days ago for a beer Thursday around 6pm. Walked in, up to the full bar, barkeep came right over and offered to let us try a couple of beers describing them in detail lost on me. We made our decision, Kolsch Ale for me, and went outside as most of the tables inside were taken. The hot sunny day made the beer taste even better. We had delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches off the food truck. Most of the tables outside were taken as the sun went down. Our bartender came outside asked each table for volunteers and organized a spirited game of cornhole. We left around 8pm when the place started to really rock. I later realized I had lost my wallet somewhere. I hoped and prayed it was there that I lost it. I drove about 8am the next morning to retrace my steps. Brian, one of the owners called me just as I entered the parking lot to tell me they had found it. He was so nice. I was blown away. I told him I just got there to look, and although way before opening, he said Jeff would be there. I hung up the phone and Jeff walked right out with my wallet. I was there for 5min and was never happier and grateful. So, if you want to go to a casual place, sit in or out, drink delicious cold beer poured by friendly and helpful staff, you can't go wrong...

I have been here twice now with my family. We enjoyed the ambiance, friendly service, and wide beer selection. Everything we tried was pretty good, and some of it was fantastic (Pride beer and Upton Lite). Sadly our bartender didn't know much about the beers and couldn't answer basic questions. They were friendly though.

Also, owners sitting at the bar seemed intoxicated, speaking way too loud and using foul language. This happened on both of our visits. Made it seem more like a dive bar than a family friendly brewery.

Edit: We gave this place a couple more tries and sadly our return visits weren't much better.... one of the beers was just plain gross, like it had a chemical taste. I don't expect perfection (I am certianly not perfect) but our bartenders have all been completely clueless about the beer styles and their ingredients. would be nice to see some more training.

More importantly our bartender did point out that it was the two owners sitting at the bar being inappropriate and frankly threatening.... not employees as you are suggesting. Maybe we were just unlucky and visited at the wrong times, but she did imply that this was a common occurence. Anyway in my opinion what we heard is not acceptable and should never be said in...
