Bunny's Tavern — Restaurant in Urbana

Popular tavern. I've added a star for 2025! It is important to note that I am only a lunch time or dinner customer. That is all I can review. Not late night. Also, I pretty much eat only the fish sandwiches at Bunny's. (I'm 90% sure that they have Guinness on tap! That is getting rare for taverns in Champaign-Urbana area. They get half a star for that! The fish sandwiches are too big. It would be alright with me if they cut back a little and maybe lowered the price a buck. You can't really take fish home and reheat it so too much is too much. That said, if you are a fan of the Friday Fish fry type sandwich Bunny's is among the best in C-U.

Bunny's has been there a long time! They are popular so service is like anywhere else. Up and down with the availability of staff. Bunny's must be an OK place to work because the servers work hard. That doesn't happen if the environment is bad for them.

The atmosphere changes a bit depending on where you sit. If you go back into the south end of the bar area you are in an crowded small town bar space. If you sit by the gambling machines there is a bit more space. The indoor dinning area lacks the tavern vibe but is a convenient place for a table of four or more to sit and visit and eat/drink. Outside is under cover. Very popular space on the nice weather days. I always find parking. Bunny's is in the downtown area so ride your bicycle...

This place was great!!! Service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and came out quickly, fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. I took my niece to Beads and Botanicals for her birthday and we decided to grab lunch after. Bunny's was right next door so we figured we'd try it out. My niece is a vegetarian and was open to it, but we have a hard time finding veggie burgers/ vegetarian options that are actually tasty. They have an AMAZING veggie burger there. My niece ate every bite and loved it. I tried a bite and loved it too, and I'm definitely not a vegetarian 🤣. On top of everything, they were packed with a lunch rush and a huge party in a back room. If I could give 100 stars I would. We already agreed we'll be making this our birthday lunch spot from now on ... and I will probably be heading back a few times before that to have that Fatty Patty again. Excellent all...

I love this place it got the beer I like to drink... I dont eat here very seldomly but the food looks good... But since I'm deaf I feel invisible like no one wants to talk and to get to know me more...

It hurts since I'm already alone everyday.... Workers here greet or smile at me or ask me if I want more beer or food or walking past me..it happens with many bar restaurants. Annoying AF!

Hearing people are lucky to have hearing privileges... I am deaf and struggle and watch everyone laugh and all and I feel lost? How is that fun when this place is only place I go to that has the beer I like on draft? I am a repeating customer hoping I'll find friends and meeting people but nope no one gives their time to know me more.... should I stop coming here or not... even tho I like this environment but I feel the workers don't acknowledge me like they do different...
