A mixed bag of disengaged staff, underwhelming pastries, and the best tamales ever.

My wife and I recently tried this bakery for the first time. Despite the place being empty when we first entered, none of the three workers inside acknowledged us. The young woman who ended up helping us was fine once we engaged her, but lacked warmth or a welcoming demeanor.

Being our first visit, we sampled a variety of offerings: The churros, while tasty, had a somewhat rubbery texture. The lemon mousse was very tart with minimal sweetness to balance it out. The tres leches cake lacked flavor, barely tasting like anything. The chocolate mousse was marginally better, though still disappointing. Overall, the pastries were underwhelming for someone who enjoys them on the sweeter and richer side. However, for those who often find pastries too sweet or rich, you'll probably like them a lot more than I did.

Why does a bakery have the best tamales I've ever had? That's a pretty sad condemnation of the Mexican restaurants in the area whose tamales all pale in comparison. They were tasty and moist. The chicken tamale was so good we came back the same day for more. However, their hot sauces were awful, completely lacking salt.

We plan to return for their savory options, particularly the tamales, but will likely pass on their lackluster pastries...

Worst place to buy a cake from they will definitely rip you off. You're better off buying a cake from walmart or Meijer. They wont give you what you ask for and act like its your fault for ordering when you give with detail an order. We are hispanic from the community and of course always like to support our people but sadly they dont have respect for anyone!! They are also rude when you politely complain about something. Wish i would of listened to my husband when he warned me they were bad cakes. But i thought to my self naw they're hispanics and 3 leches cake will be good. Bud sadly they didnt even give me the right size and cake was so dry. I couldnt even feed all my guest even though i told them the amount of people i would have. I was so ashamed! I dont normally like to blast people but if you wanna have nice quality for a bday or any gathering DONT WASTE your money here! They dont even get the designs right and charge waaaaay to much.if you read more of the review's im not the only one who thinks they're too pricey and poor...

Kept hearing about this place from different people. Finally made my way over (it's kind of out of the way - I'd never have found it myself!) and was not disappointed. I had gone with someone and we thought we'd get two pastries to share (I chose a palmier because they looked irresistible, and he chose a bear claw). We spent a bit looking around and chatting with the woman working the counter. After listening to us deliberate, she actually threw an apple turnover in to the bag because she thought we'd like it. We liked all of them.

I've tried their brownie bread, too (a co-worker brought some leftovers in). Even not fresh it was dangerously good.

Haven't tried any of their breads, but I look forward to trying some this year when they come to the market.

I just wish they weren't...

A very lovely bakery place with a small town charm vibe. The prices are very friendly for all people, students and locals. And that makes this place quite impressive!!!! They have quite a variety of baked pastries. I tried Rick's style croissant (😅🤣) both ham & cheese and spinach & feta cheese, they are very good. The churros here are also good. Recommended!!!!

Nice small Mexican bakery that serves a wide variety of both sweet and savory food. Both the tres leches cake and tiramisu are slices of heaven. The croissants are thick, crispy, and buttery. The tamales and empanadas tastes good too, but I wish they had more filling. They also make whole bread such as focaccia. Get there early because items sell out quickly.
