Normally I would give this place a 5 star rating however the service we received was horrible. We get there and there is a wait. No big deal. We wait outside with a pager. The only thing about that I would recommend is more seating outside especially for the more elderly guests. The quickly got through the wait list. When it was our turn the hostess just pointed and told us we could sit in a specific booth. Normally they walk you to the booth. We get to our table and the waitress comes and gives our menus and takes our drink order. We look at the menu. Drinks come she asks us if we were ready. I advised I need a few more mins. She took it literally. Not even 2 mins and she was back. I advised still debating. She walked away I continued to look at my menu. And literally a min later she is back. I felt very rushed to order. So I finally just ordered uncle Dave breakfast. Food was amazing as always. My husband got the breakfast skillet. Only recommendation I would have is to add a meat into it like a sausage or a bacon. The sausage gravy just isn't enough. While eating our drinks were never refilled or topped off. We weren't quite done eating and she puts the ticket down and says whenever your ready. There was no can I get you anything else or would you like dessert. We waited for a few to see if she would come back and she never did so we left. I have never had poor customer service there. Today was very offputting. Due to their hours it is hard for us to get there but I will definitely be rethinking our descion...
Read moreGood down home atmosphere with friendly wait staff, now for the story of our recent breakfast.
My father is 91 he will eat anything and never complain about his food.. He orders a vegetable omelet, home fries and sausage on the side. After 45 minutes our food finally arrives at our table. His omelet was cold the vegetables were not cooked the cheese was not melted on the inside of the omelet. The home fries where cold. We did not ask to rewarm anything nor did we say anything to the waitress. We have stopped here many times over the past years. We will not be stopping again. If the owner is putting out this quality of food he needs to write to Robert Irvine and ask for help on restaurant impossible. If you are in the wait staff, I would be quickly looking for another position with a restaurant that’s putting out high-quality hot food.
Now getting back to my father, he is 91 as I already stated he will eat anything and not complain. He has done nothing but complain about the food at Farmer’s daughter his memories bad, but not bad enough to get the poor quality food out of his head off.
As for me, I had eggs over easy and sausage everything was fine but if you screw that up you should not be in the...
Read moreThis was our first visit here. We were surprised how crowded it was when we entered. There was only one table available. Our server was friendly even though the restaurant was very busy. I ordered the ham loaf because I am the only one in my family who likes it so I was looking forward to it. However, I was greatly disappointed. It was covered in ketchup, not a sauce, and it was barely warm. I didn't send it back because I never do that, and I didn't take it home to reheat either. The ham loaf was served as a chunk instead of slices, which would have been much more appealing to the eye. Also, there was very little seasoning. Bland food is pitiful. The green beans and warm apple slices, however, were delicious. Also, I took one bite of the roll, and if I wasn't trying to cut down on carbs, I would have eaten all of it because it was delicious. I am still surprised by the large number of people there. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. However, I tell don't foresee a future return visit to The Farmer's Daughter...
