Depot Coffee House — Restaurant in Urbana

Came in on a weekday morning. No one in line and two staff Nicole and a male behind the counter. No one bothered to greet me despite not being busy. The staff continued their conversation while I stood at the register. Male finally comes over and asks for my order. I ask him a few questions about their blended selection and instead of explaining anything he points me to a menu. He then turns around and continues his conversation until he's ready to take my order. Upon ordering a breakfast sandwich, it was wrong. I tell the female the correct order and she acted so disgusted with me. I tell her if it's going to be an issue I don't want it. She snidly remarks well the bacon is already cooking (in the microwave). Didn't taste good as the bacon was extremely hard. Over $10 for a coffee and croissant. Coffee is the only thing good here, but I think I'll stick to coffee expressions in Springfield since they carry the same brand and every encounter has been a pleasant experience as the staff is always extremely nice. Will not be back...

I love the coffee depot its suoer close to my home.and right bwside the bike trail im sure all their drinks are delish but i alway get their buckey drink its so so good its a coffee drink that taste like a peanutbutter milk shake u can gwt it frozen iced or just liquid frozen is best its git whip creak chockate thru it lots of pb they always have delish cheescake ove had some really good ones there tbey are kinda pricy but it's worth it for a nice treat now and then..ans all the employess always are so nice they greet you whenu come in and say goodbye when u leave and make sure your happy with what they made. O they also have sandwiches and salads and biscuts muffins and cookies .if u havent been what you waitng for ? 💯💯💯🤘🤘👌👌👌i always get pbutter buckey got bananna monkey this time uts choc bana and white choc plus syrup thru it like their others plus whip cream guy gsve me wrong lid so its messy but delish

The staff were very welcoming and open to questions and conversation. They don't tolerate mistakes and will correct any brought to their attention. The coffee options may be on a short list, but they are all well-brewed and blended to savory success. (The *blended matcha latte uses real matcha powder, and the contrasting honey swirls in the cup makes for a decadent presentation!) The food was genuine; turkey breast was actual breast slices, not formed lunch meat, fresh vegetables prepared per order, and locally-baked bread make up their balanced paninis. The atmosphere of the old train station was clean and inviting, the aged wood floors and supports were beautiful in a way, and even the modern furniture complimented the air of antiquity. The only 2 reasons this review is missing a star is for an easily-remedied issue of the back door having a broken handle, and no decaf options.
