I went to Donutland on Saturday, June 28th around 9:15 AM. I was greeted by a younger employee who welcomed me into the store. The woman next to her, who I would assume is the manager or the owner of the store, was helping another customer check out. She says to the customer while looking at me, “She looks like she’s never eaten a donut in her life.” She was making a comment about my body, implying that I am skinny. She then proceeds to tell me, “I used to look like that when I was your age.”These comments were completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and offensive. I did not come into your store to have my body judged or discussed. I was there as a paying customer, expecting kindness and respect, not to be body shamed. Whether she meant it as a joke or not, it’s unacceptable to make unsolicited comments about someone’s body, especially in a public setting. Her words made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. No one should be made to feel self-conscious for their appearance when supporting a business. I waited for 1 car for nearly 10mins- because his choices were not made or out & the attendant had to go through all the options. Which she then had to repeat for me. Unfortunately after going to the internet site,, I realize what got for choices was a short list & not everything that is offered.. Terrible way to make a decision. Forget asking for a reciept- I was handed a slip of paper that had zero info- just location info & QR code. No price, no pay method, nothing useful. Now the donuts left greasy feel on the tongue, even my grand kids opted out after a few bites. I literally have 10 out 12 left & they will end up in the trash. We were willing to wait for the kind we wanted to brag how good they were. We talked this place up, brought the person we talked it up to and then had this kid tell us no matter what no more donuts are being made, yet two more trays of donuts (not the kind we wanted) were brought out?
